Objective:Compare the shear bond strength of the zirconia ceramics with three kinds of resin adhesives before and after treated with the polydopamine complex coating.Method: There were 36 pieces of zirconia ceramics that were randomly divided into 6 groups, and each 6 piece was a group. The surface of A,B,C group was treated with sandblasting, while D,E,F group were treated with sandblasting and complex coating with polydopamine. Moreover,A,D group use SuperBond C&B;B,E group use Panavia F;C,F group use 3M Rely U200.After preserved in 37℃ distilled water for 24 hours then test the shear bonding strength.Result:The bonding strength of three adhesives has been improved after treating complex coating with polydopamine. However, there is no obvious increase to the group of 3M Rely U200.Conclusion: Complex coating with polydopamine can significantly increase the bonding strength with zirconia ceramics of SuperBond C&B and Panavia F.
