Background:According to the latest figures published by WHO in 2017,more than 300 million people suffering anxiety/depression disorders, while over one fifth women suicide because of Perinatal Depression,as the fact that the most primary cause of disability in child-bearing women is Perinatal Depression.Postpartum depression is receiving more and more attention, but anxiety/depression disorders during labor which also may cause serious consequences is rarely noticed. Objective:This study focused on anxiety/depression disorders during labor, and further studies on the effects of Patient Control Epidural Analgesia(PCEA)on anxiety/depression disorders during labor. Methods:This study is a prospective study.According to principles of the exclusion criteria and voluntary participation,92 pregnant women were eligible and divided into the non-analgesic group(47cases)and the analgesic group(45cases)based on receiving PCEA voluntary. The faceto-face questionnaires were done during the latent phase, the active phase, the second stage and the third stage of labor. The questionnaire consists of two parts: the general questionnaire and the scale surveys, while the scale survey including NRS,SAS and EPDS.The collected data were double-input.SPSS 19.0 software was used for statistical analysis of independent-samples t test and ?2 test,GraphPad Prism 6.0 software was used for drawing. Results:Labor analgesia can effectively alleviate labor pains, including NRS scores(8.258±1.437 decreased to 3.710±2.807,P=0.000)and the proportion of moderate and severe pain(97.7% decreased to 31.1%,P=0.000),especially in the first stage of labor.Compared to nonanalgesic group, which with NRS scores(the latent phase 5.576±2.346,the active phase 7.394±2.331)and the proportion of moderate and severe pain(the latent phase 59.6%,the active phase 80.8%),NRS scores(the latent phase 3.710±2.807,the active phase 4.484±2.420)and the proportion of moderate and severe pain(the latent phase 31.1%,the active phase 24.4%)in analgesic group were significantly decreased(P<0.05).The trend of SAS /EPDS scores during childbirth was consistent with the trend of NRS scores during the progress of labor. The effective labor analgesia during the first stage of labor can significantly reduce the incidence of anxiety disorders in the first stage of labor(19.1% in non-analgesic group and 2.2% in analgesia group). The effective labor analgesia during the first stage of labor can significantly reduce the incidence of depression disorders in the first(19.1% in non-analgesic group and 6.7% in analgesia group)and second stage of labor(42.4% in non-analgesic group and 8.9% in analgesia group).PCEA can significantly extend the duration of the first and the second stage of labor, without an increase in the risk of episiotomy and perineal laceration. Conclusion:PCEA can achieve the purpose of effective labor analgesia, especially in the first stage of labor.Labor analgesia can effectively alleviate labor pain in the first stage of labor.Labor analgesia can effectively alleviate the anxiety disorders in the active phase and the depression disorders in the first and second stage of labor.
