Objective : To retrospective analysis the clinical characteristics, diagnosis and treatment of oral and maxillofacial nerve sheath tumor. To discuss the risk factors for postoperative recovery of oral and maxillofacial nerve sheath tumors(long-term follow-up after surgery if there is residual neurologic injury). Methods:To retrospective analysis of the 50 cases of neurilemmoma admitted to our hospital from January 2010 to January 2017,which were confirmed by pathology and accept the surgical treatment. To statistical analysis the risk factors of postoperative recovery.gender, age, side, duration of symptoms, preoperative symptoms and the volume of the tumor as 6 variables.First of all to univariate analysis of the risk factors of postoperative recovery using chi square test or nonparametric rank sum test or t test. The statistically significant variables in univariate analysis once again entered the multivariate logistic regression analysis.P < 0.05 has statistical significance. Results:In 96 cases 50 to 60 years old patients are most common..The most common nerves involved were facial nerve and branch.40 cases were followed up,3 cases were died. There were 22 cases without neurological impairment and 16 neurological impairment after operation. There are statistically significant risk factors for tumor volume. Conclusions: In 96 cases 50 to 60 years old patients are most common..The most common nerves involved were facial nerve and branch. There is a correlation between nerve function injury and tumor volume in oral and maxillofacial schwannoma.
