Clinical Study Of Different Frequency Electroacupuncture At Lianquan And Fengfu For Treatment Of Stroke Dysphagia

Background:With the accelerated pace of people's life,stroke is a "important killer" that threatens human health,and is second in the world's death and morbidity.And dysphagia is one of the common complications after stroke,about 14%(cerebral hemisphere)71%(brain stem)patients with dysphagia[1].At present in the clinical use of electro-acupuncture therapy(referred to as electro-acupuncture)treatment of post-stroke dysphagia has been widely recognized,and at home and abroad applications are gradually promoted.Electroacupuncture refers to the combination of electrical stimulation on the basis of the needle,it has the dual role of acupuncture and electrical stimulation,its efficacy than other methods show a good advantage.And repeatability is good,the traditional acupuncture treatment can not control the intensity of stimulation,repeatability is poor,and largely dependent on the acupuncture level of the surgeon,more difficult to achieve the unity of treatment standards.But the electroacupuncture also has different stimulation parameters.At present,the research on the quantitative effect of electroacupuncture is mainly focused on the animal experiment.There are few studies on the treatment of stroke dysphagia by different parameters.The choice of the optimal electroacupuncture parameters is not yet Uniform standards.Therefore,it is necessary to study the effect of two kinds of electroacupuncture parameters of high frequency and low frequency on the treatment of dysphagia and to select the best electroacupuncture parameters of electroacupuncture treatment of dysphagia.Objective:To observe the effect of electroacupuncture(EA)with different frequency based on the conwentionl trement for stroke dysphagia.Methods:Sixty patinents with dysphagia after stroke were randomized assigned into a low frequency(2Hz)group and a high frequency(100Hz)group,30cases in each one.Basic trement was applied in two groups.The acupoints are Fengfu(GV 16)and Lianquan(CV 23).EA with continus wave and tolerant intensity were connected for 30 min,once a day for 14 days.The man index was video flouroscopic swallowing study(VFSS)to detect passing time at oral stage,pharynx delay time at pharyngeal stage.The second indexs were water swallow tese rating and stangardized swallowing assessment(SSA).The clinical effect was envaluted.Results After trement,the passing time at roal stage,pharynx delay time at pharynal stage,passing time atpharynal stage were lower than those before trement in the two groups(all p<0.05),and the results in the the low frequency group were better(all P<0.05).The water swallow test rating improved in the two groups(both P<0.05),and in the frequency group was better(P<0.05).The SSA scores decreased in the two groupss(both P<0.05),and the iimprovement in the lower frequency group was superior to that in the high frequency group(P<0.05).The total effective rate in the low frequency group was 93.3%(28/30),which was better than 66.7%(20/30)in the high frequency group(P<0.05).Conclusion:The effect of low frequency electroacupuncture group on improving swallowing function after stroke is better than that of high frequency electroacupuncture group.
