ObjectivesThrough the investigation of the quality of life and social support of the elderly in liwan district of guangzhou city,this study investigates the health status and social support status of the elderly in urban communities and analyze the influencing factors of the quality of life of the elderly in the community,the influencing factors of social support status,and the influence of the quality of life and social support.It is hoped that this study can provide reference for the future life support and social support of the elderly in the community improve the quality of life of elderly residents in guangzhou and improve their social support system.MethodsThis study uses the general data questionnaire,SF-12 life quality scale and SSRS social support scale to investigate the elderly in the community by means of convenient sampling method.All the data obtained from the survey were recorded using Epidata software,and SPSS19.0 was used for statistical analysis.The measurement data is expressed by means of mean and standard deviation,and the counting data is represented by frequency and composition ratio;The counting data is represented by frequency and composition;The measurement data is analyzed by t test,variance analysis,rank sum test,etc;The counting data is analyzed by chi-square test;Multivariate analysis was performed by stepwise linear regression and Logistic regression.If the test level P<0.05,it indicats that the difference is statistically significant.Results(1)In the SF-12 life quality scale,the total score of life quality score IS(42.91 ±10.56),the mental health score is(51.27±12.42),and the physical health score is(50.94±12.56).The factors affecting the quality of life of the elderly and the main influencing factors of each dimension were gender,age,residence status and marital status.(2)In the SSRS social support scale,the total score of social support scale is(37.36±6.07),Among them,subjective support scores were highest,The emPirical evidence shows that the main influencing factors affecting the social support of the elderly in the community are living status,education level,marital status,income status,etc.(3)The correlation between social support and quality of life: Social support has a Positive effect on the quality of life of the elderly.From the PersPective of total social support,24.7% of the changes in the quality of life of the elderly are caused by social support.From the three dimensions of subjective support,objective support and utilization of support,25% of the changes in the quality of life of the elderly are caused by social support.DiscussionThe model of the individual characteristics and social support variables of the comprehensive elderly has shown: Social support has positive and positive effects on the quality of life of the elderly,the most significant of which is objective support,followed by subjective support.Social support does not match the needs of the elderly.The current social support system fails to give full play to the mutual aid role of the community.Community residents' enthusiasm for home-based care is uneven.SuggestionThe social support network system in the region is relatively perfect,but it is still far from the actual needs of the elderly.It is suggested that the government should actively play the guiding role of social support and provide strong policy guidance and financial support for grassroots social work.The community should establish the information database for the elderly,improve the regular visit system,and gradually promote the mutual assistance service in the community.As the foundation of home care,the family should pay attention to the communication with the old people and strengthen the interaction.
