Purpose:To observe the clinical efficacy of modified WuMeiWan in the treatment of early awakening insomnia.Methods :Seventy-two insomniacs were observed in a randomized controlled clinical trial,oral modified WuMeiWan granules given by treatment group,oral eszopiclone given by control group30 minutes before bedtime,courses of treatment last for four weeks.Evaluating the curative effect on base line(pre-therapy),completion of treatment(end of the fourth weeką3days in therapy)and follow-up period(end of the eighth weeką7days post-therapy).Results:1.PSQI sleep improvement situation:There are significant differences in the components and total score of PSQI in the treatment group between pre-therapy and post-therapy.There are significant differences between the treatment group and the follow-up group(except for sleep latency,sleep time,sleep efficiency and sleep disorders).There are significant differences in the components and total scores of PSQI in the control group between the treatment group and the follow-up group(except for the sleep disorder).Compared with the follow-up group in the post-therapy,(except for sleep disorders),the significant P values are less than 0.05,and there are significant differences.There are significant differences in the components and total scores of PSQI in the post-therapy between the treatment group and the control group except for sleep quality,sleep time and sleep efficiency.The total Pittsburgh scores are significantly different between the two groups of patients in the post-therapy,and the treatment group was significantly better than the control group;the control group is better than the treatment group in the sleep latency;the treatment group is better than the control group in the aspects of sleep disorders,sleep medication,daytime function.2.Contrast of Chinese medicine quality of life scale in anhypnia:A statistical analysis of the representative symptoms was selected in the scale,including do you feel fullness and headache,do you feel lassitude of limbs frequently,are you vexed easily,do you feel lightheaded,do you have aprosexia of about five.There are significant differences in all aspects of syndrome scores between pre-therapy and post-therapy in the treatment group,the significant P values are less than 0.05,and the post-therapy is better than the pre-therapy.There are significant differences in all aspects of syndrome scores between pre-therapy and post-therapy in the treatment group of Chinese medicine quality of life scale in anhypnia,the significant P values are less than 0.05,and the post-therapy is better than the pre-therapy.There are significant differences in all aspects of syndrome scores between pre-therapy and post-therapy in the control group of Chinese medicine quality of life scale in anhypnia,the significant P values are less than 0.05 except for feeling fullness?headache and vexed.The pre-therapy is better than the post-therapy in the aspect of feeling lightheaded and the post-therapy is better than the pre-therapy in the aspect of feeling lassitude of limbs.There are significant differences in all aspects of syndrome scores and total scores between the two group of patients in the post-therapy of Chinese medicine quality of life scale in anhypnia,the significant P values are less than 0.05 and the treatment group is better than the control group obviously.Conclusion:1.The sleep status of insomniacs can be improved by the treatment of modified WuMeiWan efficiently,which can raise the life quality of the patients as well.2.The treatment of modified WuMeiWan has more effect than eszopiclone in the respect of the improvement of traditional medical treatment life quality and improvement of PSQI sleep disorder and daytime function.
