Objective:To obtain the measurement data of dental archs and palatal height of 6-9year-old the Han nationlity children in Urumqi,Xinjiang,to study the growth and development of occlusion in Xinjiang data.Methods:Totally 203 Chinese Han children from 6 to 9 years old(early mixed dentition)in Urumqi,Xinjiang were enrolled in this study.General information was obtained and dental models were obtained.The dental models were measured and measured by electronic digital calipers,including: dental arch circumference,dental arch width,dental arch length and palatal height,and the data for statistical analysis.Results:The length of the arch of each segment of maxillary and mandibular,the length of the arch between the first permanent molars and the width of the arch of the mandibular first permanent molars,were significantly higher in males than in females(P < 0.01).There was significant difference in the four age groups between perimeter of dental arch,length of dental arch,width of dental arch of maxillary canines,height of palatal arch of maxillary second molars(P<0.05).Conclusion:The growth and development of occlusion in 6-9 children in Urumqi have their own characteristics.It is important to obtain the data of children and to study the regularity and characteristic of the growth of the tooth and dental arch of the local children.The study would be beneficial to the clinical treatment. |
