Subjective: The female runners with running related knee injuries and no running related knee injuries were tested and evaluated in the plantar pressure, foot posture, and rating of perceived exertion before and after wearing half foot insoles and non-wearing half foot insoles for 10 km running. To explore the characteristics of the foot pressure distribution in female runners, analyze the causes of the running related knee injury and observe the intervention effect of the half foot insole.Method:14 female runners with running related knee injuries and 15 healthy female runners with similar physical conditions were divided into injury group(I group)and normal group(N group). The 10 km run was carried out without half foot insole and with half foot insole. The foot pressure, foot posture, rating of perceived exertion and insole comfort of the runners were evaluated before and after running. The interval between two runs is one week.Result: After 10 km running without half foot insoles, the maximum force and peak pressure in the 1-2 metatarsal area of the normal group decreased significantly(p<0.01),the maximum force in the third metatarsal area and full foot decreased significantly(p<0.05),the foot posture index increased significantly(p<0.05);The maximum force and peak pressure in the plantar area of the injury group increased as a whole, but not significant(p>0.05).The foot posture index is higher after the run(p<0.05).Before 10 km running without half foot insoles, the maximum force in the 2-5 toe area of the injury group was significantly smaller than that of the normal group(p<0.05),and the peak pressure was not significantly different(p>0.05);After 10 km running without half foot insoles, the maximum force and peak pressure in the first metatarsal area of the injury group and the full foot maximum force were greater than that of the normal group(p<0.05);There was no significant difference in foot posture index between two groups before and after 10 km running without half foot insole(p>0.05).Before 10 km running, the maximum force and peak pressure in the 2-5 toe,1-3 metatarsal and the maximum force in the full foot decreased(p<0.05)in the normal group compared with no half foot insole; The maximum force in the full foot of the injury group decreased(p>0.05),and the peak pressure in the lateral heel area decreased significantly(p<0.05)compared with no half foot insole. After 10 km running, the maximum force in the 2-5 toe area decreased(p<0.05),and there was no significant difference in the peak pressure of the plantar region(p>0.05),the foot posture index decreased(p<0.05)compared with no half foot insole in the normal group; The maximum force and peak pressure in the first metatarsal area decreased(p<0.05),and the foot posture index decreased(p<0.05)in the injured group. After 10 km running, the change of rating of perceived exertion in the normal group was not significant(p<0.05),but significant in the injured group(p<0.05)compared with no half foot insole. There was no significant difference in the use-feeling of half foot insole between normal group and injury group(p>0.05).Conclusion: After 10 km running, plantar pressure decreased in female runners without running related injuries.Female runners with running related knee injuries had higher plantar pressure than those without injuries after 10 km running, and the difference was more significant in the medial region of the forefoot; After 10 km running, the foot posture of the normal group and the injured group tended to pronate, but there was no significant difference in foot posture between the two groups. The half foot insole has a significant effect on reducing the impact force of the foot, especially the inside of the front foot in the healthy runners, and also has some effect on the female runners in the injury group, but it is not as significant as that of the normal group. The half foot insole can relieve the fatigue of runners during running, and has good comfort, which can significantly improve the performance of runners.
