Aims:To investigate the clinicopathological data of gastric cancer in Shandong Province,to explore the clinicopathological features and correlation of gastric cancer and provide reference for clinical practice. Methods:This study is a multi-center retrospective study. From 2013 to 2015,in-patients initially diagnosed as gastric cancer confirmed by pathology from Shandong University Qilu Hospital,Shandong Provincial Hospital,Jinan Military General Hospital,Liaocheng People's Hospital,Binzhou People's Hospital were collected.Patients with gastric stump carcinoma, repeated visits and incomplete information were excluded.Collect information about the patient's admission time, gender, age, stage of gastric cancer, site and pathological features, and input EpiData software to establish a database, and use SPSS 19.0 software for data analysis. The patients were separately divided based on the age, gender, staging, histology and occurrence of gastric cancer to simply reflect the clinicopathological features of gastric cancer.Results:1.A total of 7,060 patients with gastric cancer were recruited. There were 5,513 males and 1,547 females, with a ratio of 3.56 to 1.2.The range of patients age was 17 to 93 years old, with the median age 61 years old.And the age of 51to 70 was the peak age, accounting for 63.7%.Among patients younger than 40,there were 189 men and 185 women, with a ratio of 1.02 to 1.3.There were 835 cases(11.8%)of early gastric cancer and 6225 cases(88.2%)of advanced gastric cancer.4.The common sites of gastric cancer were antrum and pylorus(30.5%),cardia and gastroesophageal junction(29.3%).Gastric body, antrum and pylorus were the major locations for female patients and patients younger than 40 years old.Early gastric cancers were most found in gastric antrum and pylorus(305 cases,36.5%),followed by gastric angle(241 cases,28.9%).5.There were 6281 patients with pathology reports included in the statistical analysis.Low differentiated adenocarcinoma was common, with 3778 cases(53.5%),followed by tubular adenocarcinoma, with 1765 cases(25.0%).Early gastric cancer was dominated by tubular adenocarcinoma(458 cases,55.2%).Among the patients with the age of no more than 40 years,Low differentiated adenocarcinoma(251 cases,73.2%)was the dominant, followed by sigmoid cell carcinoma(51 cases,14.9%).The proportion of low differentiated adenocarcinoma and sigmoid cell carcinoma in female patients was higher than that of male patients.6.There were 882 cases with specific Lauren classification included in the statistical analysis. There were 338 cases of intestinal gastric cancer, accounting for 38.3%and 342 cases of diffuse gastric cancer, accounting for 38.8%.Among them,97.6%of patients with intestinal gastric cancer were aged>40 years, and 86.5%of patients with diffuse gastric cancer were aged less than 40 years.7.Cardiac carcinoma has special clinical and pathological features, compared with gastric antrum carcinoma. The ratio of male to female is 7.38:1.Early gastric cancer accounts for 5.1%,but the proportion of tubular adenocarcinoma was 35.4%.Conclusions:In shandong province, the age of high incidence of gastric cancer is 51 to 70 years old.Men is the high prevalence population, with a ratio of 3.56 to 1.Early gastric cancer was 835 cases, accounting for 11.8%.Gastric antrurm and pylorus, cardia and gastroesophageal junction were common sites for gastric cancer, but their clinicopathological features were different.Low differentiated adenocarcinoma is the main pathological classification, accounting for 60.1%.There were 338 cases of intestinal type and 342 cases of diffuse type in Lauren classification, accounting for 38.3%,38.8%respectively.The cancers of young patients and female patients, have special clinicopathological features, which are mainly in the corpus and antrum, with high proportion of low differentiated adenocarcinoma and sigmoid cell carcinoma.
