Background:Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women, its incidence is rising year by year.In breast tissue, endothelial cells and other cells account for only 10%of the total, while the remaining 90%are adipose tissue. This means that any change of the fat cells will greatly affect the breast cells. In recent years, many studies found that one of the adipocytokines, adiponectin acts as key mediators in breast cancer, and it exists in various forms in the body.Adiponectin actions are mainly mediated by two kinds of receptors:AdipoRl and AdipoR2.Many studies showed that the expression of adiponectin receptors influence the development of breast cancer, but the current studies focused on adiponectin itself and related signal transduction, the difference of AdipoRl' expression between benign and malignant tissue. The role of AdipoR2 in breast cancer was ignored. The purpose of this study tries to investigate different expression levels of full-length adiponectin in patients of breast benign and malignant tumor, different expression levels of two kinds of receptors in breast cancer patients of recurrence and not.To explore the expression of full-length adiponectin and its receptors in breast cancer patients and analyze the correlation with clinicopathological and prognosis. Methods:There were 111 patients first diagnosed with breast tumor enrolled and received surgeries in Department of Breast and Thyroid Surgery,Renmin Hospital of Wuhan University, from November 2016 to October 2017.The serum level of full-length adiponectin was detected by enzyme-linked immuno sorbent assay(ELISA).There were 113 patients first diagnosed with breast cancer enrolled and received surgeries in Department of Breast and Thyroid Surgery,Renmin Hospital of Wuhan University, from January 2010 to January 2014.The expression of AdipoRs were detected by immunohistologicalmethods(IHC).Results:1.The level of serum full-length adiponectin in the breast malignant tumor and benign tumor patients exist no obvious differences, same as age, tumor size,BMI,the expression of HER-2 and Ki-67,lymph node metastasis and nerve vascular invasion. But the higher serum full-length adiponectin, the higher the expression of estrogen receptor(P=0.014),progesterone receptor(P=0.006).2.The expression of adipoRl was obvious negative related to lymph node metastasis in patients(P = 0.008),and had nothing to do with the risk of reccurence(P=0.144).3.The expression of adipoR2 was positive related to vascular metastasis(P =0.005),the expression of Ki-67(P = 0.029)and the recurrence risk(P=0.03).Conclusion:1.Higher concentration of serum full length adiponectin indicates more sensible to endocrine therapy. However, there was no significant difference in breast benign and malignant tumor.2.Higher expression of adipoRl in breast cancer tissues indicates a lower risk of lymphatic metastasis in patients,it plays a protective role in the prognose of breast cancer. But there was no need to detect the expression of adipoRl when we analyze the recurrence of breast cancer.3.Higher expression of adipoR2 indicates higher proliferation of cancer cells and higher risk of distant metastases,as a results,it leads higher recurrence risk.We suggeste that adipoR2 may play a more important role in predicting the prognosis of patients than adipoRl.
