Objctive: Patients with stage II and III colon cancer often experience recurrence and metastasis. Therefore,it is clear that high-risk factors of postoperative colon cancer patients play an important role in guiding prognosis treatment, preventing metastasis and recurrence, and improving postoperative survival rate. This article aims to explore the factors affecting the prognosis of patients with stage II and III colon cancer.Mesults: The retrospective analysis of 125 patients with stage II and III colon cancer after surgery from January 1,2006 to December 30,2010 in Guangxi Medical University Affiliated Cancer Hospital and with complete surgical pathology data.Kaplan-Meier method was used for univariate survival analysis, and Cox risk proportional model was used for multivariate analysis. Results: As of November 30,2017,62 cases had been accumulated and 63 cases had survived. The overall survival rate of this study in 1 year,3 years and5 years was 76.8%,63.2%,and 56.8%,respectively.The overall survival rate of stage II colon cancer was 84.4%,68.8%,and 60.9% after 1,3,and 5 years. The overall survival rate of stage III colon cancer was 68.9%,57.4%,and 52.5%after 1,3,and 5 years.Univariate analysis showed that there were significant differences in the presence of intestinal obstruction,Surgical approach, postoperative adjuvant chemotherapy, preoperative CEA,postoperative CEA,preoperative CA19-9,and postoperative CA19-9.The results of multivariate analysis showed that whether or not intestinal obstruction,Surgical approach, and postoperative adjuvant chemotherapy were independent factors affecting the prognosis of patients with colon cancer. Conclusions: Whether there was intestinal obstruction,Surgical approach, postoperative adjuvant chemotherapy, preoperative CEA,postoperative CEA,preoperative CA19-9,and postoperative CA19-9 were prognostic factors affecting the survival of patients with stage II and III colon cancer. The presence or absence of intestinal obstruction,Surgical approach, and postoperative adjuvant chemotherapy were independent factors influencing the prognosis of patients with stage II and III colon cancer after surgery.
