Study On The STQ Absorbable Hemostatic Gauze In Preventing Post-operative Pelvic And Peritoneal Adhesion And Tendon Adhesion And Subcutaneous Implantation

Objective: The research was conducted to investigate the effectiveness of STQ absorbable hemostatic gauze in prevented post-operative pelvic and peritoneal adhesion and tendon adhesion.In our experiments,we used rabbits,rats and chickens to demonstrate the effectiveness of STQ absorbable hemostatic gauze and investigated the degradation and biocompatibility of rats subcutaneous implantation.Methods: 1.Prepare a post-operative pelvic and peritoneal adhesion model used rabbits and rats.One group of rabbits/rats were treated model group,i.e.the wounds were treated with saline.One group were treated positive control group,the wounds were treated with Tistat.In another group,the wounds were treated with STQ absorbable hemostatic gauze.Two weeks after the operation,we observed the wound healing condition of rabbits/rats in the three different groups,Elisa method for determination of Hyp content in rats,the TNF alpha and TGF beta 1 level,and conducted pathological analysis on the three groups respectively.2.Prepare a post-operative tendon adhesion model used chickens.One group of chickens were treated model group,i.e.the wounds were treated with saline.One group were treated positive control group,the wounds were treated with Tistat.One group were treated sham operation group,the wounds were not processed.In another group,the wounds were treated with STQ absorbable hemostatic gauze.Three weeks after the operation,we observed the wound healing condition of chickens in the four different groups,and conducted pathological analysis.We prepared flexor tendon specimens of chicken toes,and conducted biomechanical tests and pathological examination.3.Implanted STQ absorbable hemostatic gauze into the body of rats.We observed the residuals at different time intervals(3 days,1 week,2weeks and 3 weeks respectively).We conducted pathological examination on the subcutaneous implantation.Results: 1.The difference in wound healing between the STQ absorbable hemostatic gauze group and model group was significant(P<0.05),it could significantly reduced the occurrence of post-operative pelvic and peritoneal adhesion and mitigate the degree of adhesion in rabbits and rats.There were no significant difference between STQ absorbable hemostatic gauze group and Tistat group(P>0.05).Rats Elisa method to detect the STQ absorbable hemostatic gauze could increase adhesion organization Hyp content,lower level of TNF alpha and uterus TGF beta 1.Rabbits cecum,rat's cecum and uterus microscopic examination showed,the difference between STQ absorbable hemostatic gauze group and model group,had more fibrosis and less granulation tissue.Changes of STQ absorbable hemostatic gauze group andTistat group were basically the same.Rabbit uterus pathological histology examination showed that three groups had no obvious changes,there were no significant difference.2.The difference in tendon adhesion between STQ absorbable hemostatic gauze group and model group was no significant(P>0.05).The difference in tendon adhesion between STQ absorbable hemostatic gauze group,Tistat group and sham operation group was significant(P<0.05),Flexor toe functional testing,sham operation group and model group,Tistat group,STQ absorbable hemostatic gauze group comparative differences were significant(P<0.05).Before there was no significant difference were observed in the comparison between the three groups(P>0.05).There were no significant difference between the three of them in the tensile breaking strength and tensile elongation at break(P>0.05).Tendon pathological histology examination showed that there were no significant difference in fibrosis,but the model group has more eosinophil infiltration than STQ absorbable hemostatic gauze group and Tistat group.3.No infection,necrosis or other phenomena was found with wounds of rats subcutaneous implantation.There was a little white membranous substance seen 3 days and 7 days after the operation.However,no white membranous substance was seen 2 weeks and 3weeks after the operation.The surface of wounds was smooth,with no feel of obstruction.Subcutaneous tissue inflammation,granulation tissue formation and a plenty of foreign body granuloma formation were found3 days after the operation.Microscopic examination showed subcutaneous tissue,significant amount of foreign body granuloma was found aweek after the operation.A small amount of foreign body granuloma was found 2 weeks after the operation,and only a little bit of foreign body granuloma was found 3 weeks after the operation.Conclusions: 1.STQ absorbable hemostatic gauze can significantly reduce the occurrence of post-operative pelvic and peritoneal adhesion and mitigate the degree of adhesion in rabbits and rats.2.STQ absorbable hemostatic gauze have no significant effect on prevention of post-operative tendon adhesion of chickens.3.Good biological compatibility is found 2 weeks after the STQ absorbable hemostatic gauze is subcutaneously implanted in the body of rats.
