Abstract/Summary:
Absorbable hemostatic gauze are medical polymer biodegradable materials, extracted from natural Plants, oxidized regenerated cellulose Cellulose chemical formula CeH10O5,44.44%of carbon, hydrogen6.17%,49.39%oxygen,three kinds of elements, has good biocompatibility. In this thesis, take MTT assay, study vitro cytotoxicity of absorbable hemostatic gauze, which is made from oxidized cellulose, after irradiation sterilization. compared with the Johnson&Johnson "surgicel" and other similar absorb hemostatic gauze in the market. In vitro cytotoxicity test is the preferred project of biocompatibility evaluation. After mixing leach liquor of material with cell in vitro culture, carried tetrazolium colorimetric assay to assess the cytotoxicity of the material. Test results:Hangzhou Ming Zhong absorbable hemostatic gauze (sample1,2,4,6,7), Johnson surgicel (sample9) and GELITA MEDICAL BV absorbable hemostatic gauze (sample10). Raw leach liquor directly to process cytotoxicity test (MTT method) showed strong toxicity. NO2-VF2-48h reaction system prepared absorbable hemostatic gauze, cultured for3days,5days,7days cytotoxicity were displayed as2class,2class,1class, material shows weak cytotoxic response, the initial inspection, to meet the clinical applied Materials biocompatibility requirements. One sample used clinically was also evaluated, show that the cytotoxic reactions belong to0class. Impact slimly on cell growth and reproduction, and with good biocompatibility. The results showed that different preparation of absorbable hemostatic gauzes, showing the different cell toxicity. Cellulose oxidation system bring acids, making dissolved leaching test solution is strongly acidic, unfavorable for cell growth, cell is easy to death.
