Objective:In this study,compound sanqi particles combined with conventional western medicine were used to treat the elderly patients with atherosclerosis(TCM syndrome differentiation is kidney deficiency and blood stasis type).The clinical symptoms and the changes of serum hypersensitive C-reactive protein(hs-CRP),procalcitonin(PCT),erythrocyte sedimentation rate(ESR),fibrinogen(FIB)and carotid intima media thickness(CIMT)were observed before and after treatment.To evaluate the clinical efficacy of compound sanqi particles in treating AS and its influence on inflammatory factors,and to further explore the possible mechanism of its occurrence.Method:According to the standard of western medicine diagnosis and TCM syndrome diagnosis of AS,40 cases of elderly AS patients(kidney deficiency and blood stasis)were included according to the order of admission,divide them into 20 patients in the study group and the control group by using randomized and controlled method.The control group was treated with routine western medicine(therapeutic drugs:aspirin enteric-coated tablets 0.1g,taken orally before breakfast 1st;Atorvastatin calcium tablets20 mg,1st before bedtime).Based on this,the research team added compound sanqi particles(drug composition: Salvia miltiorrhiza 10 g,Hawthorn 10 g,Radix lucidum 10 g,Ganoderma lucidum 6g,Panax notoginseng 4g all drug dosage forms are granule preparation,one dose a day,Twice in the morning and evening).the course of treatment was 12 weeks.The changes of the clinical symptoms,hs-CRP,PCT,ESR,FIB level;CIMT;and the scores of TCM symptoms were observed and recorded before and after treatment.the changes of safety indicators in the two groups were also monitored and compared before and after treatment.All the data were analyzed statistically by SPSS19.0.Two independent samples t test were used in the two groups,and the pairedsamplet test was used in the comparison between the two groups.The measurement data are expressed as "x ąs" and the counting data are chi-square test.P < 0.05 the difference was statistically significant.P<0.01 the difference was statistically significant.Result:1.The control group was compared before and after treatment:the clinical symptoms of the patients were improved and the score of TCM symptoms were decreased after treatment,the CIMT and the level of hs-CRP,PCT,ESR,FIB decreased obviously,and there was a significant statistical difference between the two groups(P <0.01).2.The study group was compared before and after treatment:the clinical symptoms of the patients were improved and the score of TCM symptoms were decreased after treatment,the CIMT and the level of hs-CRP,PCT,ESR,FIB decreased obviously,and there was a significant statistical difference between the two groups(P < 0.01).3.The study group was compared with the control group:the clinical symptoms of the two groups were improved,the improvement of the study group was more obvious than that of the control group(P < 0.01),the scores of TCM symptoms in the two groups decreased after treatment.Compared with the control group,the level of CIMT in the study group was significantly lower than that in the control group(P < 0.01),and the level of CIMT in the study group was significantly lower than that in the control group(P < 0.05).There was no significant difference in the safety indexes such as blood,urine,stool routine,liver and kidney function between the two groups before and after treatment(P > 0.05),and there was no significant adverse reaction between the two groups during the treatment period.Conclusion:Compared with western medicine alone,compound sanqi particles combined with western medicine has more definite clinical effect,and has more obviousadvantages in improving clinical symptoms,reducing TCM symptom score,lowering CIMT and inflammatory factor level.which can decrease the level of inflammatory factors,reduce its effects on Vascular endothelial cell(VEC),thereby reducing the lipid deposition mechanism to play an important role in antiatherosclerosis,in order to delay the process,improve the prognosis and clinical application of high safety,it is worthy of clinical promotion.
