Research Of Treating Delayed Menstruation Due To Kidney Deficiency With Wu Zi Yan Zong Pills Plus And Minus

Objective This research evaluates the effects of treating delayed menstruation due to kidney deficiency with Wu Zi Yan Zong pills plus and minus,comparing with the effects of treating delayed menstruation due to kidney deficiency with hormones(artificial menstrual cycle),discussing the mechanism of Wu Zi Yan Zong pills plus and minus and providing the bases on using Wu Zi Yan Zong pills plus and minus to treat delayed menstruation due to kidney deficiency in clinics.Methods In this study,60 example clinical patients were randomly divided into 2 groups:40 cases for Group A(Wu Zi Yan Zong pills plus and minus therapy);20 cases for Group B(artificial menstrual cycle therapy),treated for 9 months.Their E2,PT,FSH,LH were observed before and after the treatment,meanwhile follicle size and the thickness of the uterine endometrium were also observed by type B ultrasound in 12th day of menstrual cycle and when necessary.Compared these two groups effects according to the results and relating data before and after the treatment.Results After 3 period of treatments,the menstruation period effectiveness of Group A(Wu Zi Yan Zong pills plus and minus therapy)are 86.11%and Group B(artificial menstrual cycle therapy)are 94.44%.And there are no significant difference(p>0.05)between the two groups.The kidney deficiency effectiveness of Group A(Wu Zi Yan Zong pills plus and minus therapy)are 97.22%and Group B(artificial menstrual cycle therapy)are 66.67%.Statistically significant difference(p<0.05)is be indicated between them.After the treatment,the E2,premenstrual endometrium thickness and the dominant follicle size in 12th day of menstrual cycle of Group A(Wu Zi Yan Zong pills plus and minus therapy)and Group B(artificial menstrual cycle therapy)are raised.Between these two groups,there are no the significant difference(p>0.05).However,before and after the treatment,the E2,premenstrual endometrium thickness and the dominant follicle size in 12th day of menstrual cycle of Group A(Wu Zi Yan Zong pills plus and minus therapy)have changed.Statistically significant difference(p<0.05)is be indicated between them.Before and after the treatment,the E2,premenstrual endometrium thickness and the dominant follicle size in 12th day of menstrual cycle of Group B(artificial menstrual cycle therapy)have changed.Statistically significant difference(p<0.05)is be indicated between them.Meanwhile before and after the treatment,the E2,premenstrual endometrium thickness and the dominant follicle size in 12th day of menstrual cycle of Group A(Wu Zi Yan Zong pills plus and minus therapy)and Group B(artificial menstrual cycle therapy)have no significant difference(p>0.05).Conclusion To treat delayed menstruation,using Chinese herbs or using Western medicine both can have effects and there are no obvious differences between these two therapies.Chinese herbs and Western medicine both can shorten the menstruation periods.But to treat symptoms due to kidney deficiency,the effects after using Chinese herbs are better than using Western medicine.In addition,Chinese herbs and Western medicine both can increase the level of E2 in patients,thicken the endometrium and help ovulation.As to side effects and acceptability of patients,Chinese herbs have less side effects than Western medicine and more patients prefer Chinese herbs.
