Background:Withtheadanceddevelopofthemirconeurosurgicaland neuroimaginging technology,Stereotactic technique has been gradually applied in clinical practice.It is not new to explore the disease with the combination of the image fault and the various sections,at the same time,it has become an indispensable part of functional neuroimaging research.Superior frontal sulcus,although it is a larger variation of frontal lobe in the brain,has a certain significance to guide the selection of the operative approach of the frontal lobe.Superior frontal sulcus located in the frontal lobe is in front and back direction in frontal brain surface.The adjacent gyri is superior frontal gyrus and middle frontal gyrus.The scholars at home and abroad mainly identify the frontal sulcus by identifying the central sulcus and the frontal lobe,but the precise spatial location of the superior frontal sulcus and the 3D visualization research have not been reported.In view of this,this study used MRI brain images of 40 healthy adults to analyze the shape,position and adjacent of the superior frontal sulcus.It is based on the brain intercomissural point of origin to intercomissural overlaps with the Y axis to establish Cartesian coordinate.We have done some research,stereotactic analysis,some conclusions and regression equation in coordinate system.We structured three dimensional visualization model of superior frontal sulcus in the brain for providing quantitative anatomical models and data for clinical imaging diagnosis and minimally invasive surgery in the area of the superior frontal sulcus.Objective:The purpose of this study are to investigate the morphological characteristics of the superior frontal sulcus on the cross section and coronal section by studying the MR images of the living area with AC-PC line as the scanning baseline,to establish a spatial for the most lateral points of superior frontal sulcus in the Descartes coordinate system and obtain the fitting curvilinear equation of the most lateral points of superior sulcus,to reconstruct 3D visualizational model of the collateral sulcus,which can provide anatomical information of superior frontal sulcus for clinical medicine,medical imaging,anatomy teaching.Methods:1.40 cases of the health of ordinary people volunteer brain,male 20 cases,20 cases of female cross,sagittal and coronal–sectional MRI data which were scanned according the AC-PC line are imported to eFilm workstation in the form of Dicom3.0,thenmorphorlogycharacterwereobservedbythetechnologyofthe“three-dimensional coursor”and located superior frontal sulcus in 2mm continuous transverse and results were acquired.2.The cross-sectional layer of 40 healthy adult brain MRI data was imported into Photoshop CS4 by from transition.As AC-PC line to the Y axis to establish three-dimensional Cartesian coordinate system,we record the superior frontal sulcus in the outer edge of the X,Y,Z value.3.One normal female head coronal-sectional MRI is imported into 3D-Doctor workstation on the computer,segmented superior frontal sulcus,lateral ventricle,the telencephalon with different color,reconstructing the cerebral superior frontal sulcus tri-dimension with method of surface reconstruction.Results:1.The superior frontal sulcus on the coronal plane and sagittal plane can be identified,and the morphological rules are obtained.2.We get healthy adult male and female superior frontal sulcus stereotaxic data set in the outer edge in 3D coordinate and superior frontal sulcus at the outer edge is located in the cross section,sagittal and superior frontal sulcus and the position,morphology and the relationship with the surrounding brain tissue was observed.Conclusions:1.Using"3D-Cursor"and"continuous tracing method",the typical shape of the superior frontal sulcus was accurately identified,which provided the anatomical basis for the localization of the lesion and the surgical approach of the sulcus.2.The superior frontal sulcus in the outer edge of the coefficient of the regression equation in 0.149 to 0.57,reflecting the amount of variation in shape.3.In vivo reconstruction of the three-dimensional model of the superior frontal sulcus,its high credibility,from different angles on the amount of the superior frontal to observe,in clinical surgery,imaging diagnosis and anatomy teaching has provided the application value.
