Data Quality Assessment Of Chest Pain Center

The quality of statistical data has attracted attention from public.It's necessary to explore the data quality assessment methods which are suitable for medical data.The study explores the methods by assessesing the quality of chest pain data from 2011-2016.This study firstly establishes a data quality evaluation index system through expert experience method and literature reference method,combined with application background and its data characteristics.The system consists of three levels that represent three dimensions of data quality: accuracy,completeness,and timeliness.All evaluation indicators are in percentages,and the direction is set to negative.Next,the quality of chest pain center data is evaluated from both the single dimension and the multi-dimension.The single assessment quantifies the assessment indicators from the three dimensions of data quality.The accuracy of the data is evaluated by the three-level judgment system and the time logic test method to calculate the logic error rate.The completeness of the data is evaluated by calculating the missing rate of each assessment indicator.The timeliness assessment of data is evaluated by extracting data from each record and calculating delay rate.The evaluation of multi-dimension determines the weights of the quantified single-dimension indicators,and then weighted sum method is used to comprehensively evaluate the data of the chest pain center in 2011-2016.The evaluation score is given,the higher the score,the worse the data quality.There are two ways to determine the weight,the quality control index of the chest pain center adopts the literature reference method to determine the weight,and the other indicators use the Delphi consulting method.In the Delphi consulting method,2 rounds of consultation questionnaires are distributed to 13 experts engaged in data quality and chest pain center work during the study.Statistical analysis is conducted on the activeness,authority,and coordination coefficients of the consulting data.And the final weights are determined using the mean method.The results of single-dimension evaluation shows that time information,quality control indicators for chest pain centers,and data reporting time are respectively ranked first in the corresponding index group.In the evaluation of multi-dimension,the data quality has been increasing by year,and the ranking of the indicators at first levels have been ranked in a stable manner,followed by: accuracy,completeness and timeliness.The survey found that human factors have a certain impact on data quality,but have little effect on the overall score.The above results,that the study gives an explanation that are consistent with reality,objectively reflect the data quality problem in the chest pain center,indicating that the data quality assessment method is available for quality assessment of medical data,and has certain reference and promotion.
