Objective:To measure the anatomical parameters of the patients with lacrimal duct obstruction diseases under computed tomography dacryocystography(CT-DCG),study the related influencing factors of the disease, and analyzes the understanding of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)on the disease. Methods:We reviewed the TCM literature to understand that diseases and then collected 343 patients who diagnosed with lacrimal duct obstruction diseases(LDOD)and performed CT-DCG.The general situation of the patients including sex, age, the diagnosis of the disease was recorded. The transverse diameter(the upper, the middle, the lower)of bony nasolacrimal duct and the angle between the nasolacrimal duct and the nasal floor was measured, the deviation of the nasal septum was also observed in the MPR imaging in oblique coronal position.SPSS21.0 software was used to analyze the data.Result:1.Chinese medicine believes that the disease belong to the field of "epiphora" and "dacryocystitis ".2.Female patients were more than male patients, and the proportion between nale and female is 1:3.693.The age of onset ranged from 4 to 87 years(the mean age 54.37 ± 14.78 years).Every age bracket of the patients is unevenly distributed, the group of 40-60 years old with the most(45.77%).There was no statistically significant difference between the male and female groups for age distribution(P>0.05).4.The incidence of various diseases in LDOD is inconsistent, and the incidence of nasolacrimal duct disease is the highest(37.8%).There were statistically significant differences in the distribution of various diseases between the left and right eyes(P<0.05).5.The prevalence of monocular incidence was higher than that of binocular,There was no statistically significant difference between male and female patients in diseased eye distribution(P>0.05).6.The diameter of nasolacrimal duct between the two eyes, men and women, diseased eye and the non-diseased has no statistically significant differences(P>0.05).But there were significant differences between upper, middle and lower transverse diameters of the nasolacrimal duct(P<0.01),and there was statistical difference in upper, middle transverse diameters at various ages(P<0.05),however there was no statistical difference in lower transverse diameters(P>0.05).7.There are no statistically significant difference between nasal septum deviation with the diseased eye in LDOD(P>0.05),but there are significant in nasolacrimal duct disease(P<0.05).8.The mean angle between the nasolacrimal duct and the nasal floor is 84.88 ± 6.98 °.The angle ranged from 62.5 °-108.9 °,mainly distributed in 80-100 °(74.1%),but still had distributed in 60-80 °(24.1%%)or greater than 100 °(1.8%).In particular, nasolacrimal duct showes "C" type distribution.9.There was no statistically significant differences in the angle between two eyes, between male and female, between the diseased eyes and non-diseased,and in all age groups(P>0.05).There was no significant difference between male and female in all angle groups(P>0.05).10.LDOD has a statistically significant correlation with age(P<0.05),and has no statistically significant correlation with gender, transverse diameter of nasolacrimal duct, the angle between lacrimal duct and nasal aperture, and the situation of nasal septum(P>0.05).11.The angle has a statistically significant correlation with the upper transverse diameter of nasolacrimal duct(P<0.05),and has no significant correlation with the middle and lower(P>0.05).Conclusion:1.LDOD is mainly in the middle-aged and elderly people related to the deficiency of the liver and kidney in TCM view. The female is an important factor affecting the occurrence of the disease related to the deficiency of liver-blood and liver-Qi.2.Nasolacrimal duct is an irregular lumen. The upper and middle transverse diameter increase with age,and the lower has a large variability and does not change with age.3.Most angle is approximately vertical, but there are having obtuse or acute angle, especially having the "C" type distribution.Probing nasolacrimal duct should to according to the direction of the nasolacrimal duct and the angle.4.Many patients with lacrimal duct obstruction have nasal septum deviation, nasal septum deviation affect the incidence of nasolacrimal duct disease, and the effect of surgery. Thus, the problem of nasal septum deviation can be handled before the operation5.The transverse diameter of bony nasolacrimal duct and the angle between the nasolacrimal duct and the nasal floor are not the important factors to affect occurrence of the disease.
