Objective: By statistical survey of plasma cortisol level and TCM syndromes in patients with depression, explore the correlation between plasma cortisol level and TCM syndromes in patients with depression,in order to provide a more objective reference for TCM syndrome type of depression.Method: Using the method of cross-sectional study in the epidemiological survey,we randomly selected patients with depression(Sichuan region)who were included in the outpatient and inpatients who were admitted to the Affiliated Hospital of Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from July to March 2017,154 cases. The levels of plasma cortisol were included in the patients' 8: 00-10: 00,and the data of Chinese medicine and the Hamilton Depression Scale(HAMD)were collected. The Hamilton Anxiety Scale(HAMA)score was collected and the plasma cortex Alcohol levels,to explore the relationship between plasma cortisol levels and TCM syndromes.SPSS 22.0 software was used to analyze the data. Results: In this study,154 patients with depression were enrolled in this study. There were 46 males and 108 females with male to female ratio of 1: 2.35 and females were higher than those of males. The scores of sex were statistically significant(P<0.05)The average age was between 18 and 75 years, with an average age of 42.11±13.75 years.Among them,71 were middle-aged,59 were middle-aged,24 were in the early stage and 84.4% in middle-aged and young people. The statistical analysis showed that the age composition ratio was statistically significant(P<0.05).The levels of cortisol in patients with depression were higher than those in 95 cases(61.7%)and cortisol levels(256.40±16.63)ng / ml,and about 2/3 of the patients with depression had higher cortisol levels in the morning. All patients with depression into the syndrome of Chinese medicine is divided into five kinds: liver qi stagnation syndrome,qi stagnation certificate, depression injury Shen card, heart and spleen deficiency syndrome and Yin Huohuo card. There was no significant difference in plasma cortisol levels between different age groups(youth, middle age and early age)in terms of sex,age and severity of plasma cortisol levels(P>0.05);plasma cortisol levels were different Gender and the distribution of different disease levels were significantly different(P<0.05).In the distribution of TCM syndromes, the proportion of liver qi stagnation syndrome was the largest(P<0.005),and there was no significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05).The gender, age and severity of TCM were not the main factors influencing the distribution of TCM syndromes(P> 0.05).Depressive patients with plasma cortisol levels and TCM syndromes have a correlation, plasma cortisol levels increased TCM syndrome type more performance for the liver qi stagnation syndrome(P <0.005).Conclusion:1.Most patients with depression have elevated plasma cortisol levels.2.Liver qi stagnation syndrome is the main TCM syndrome type of depression.3.Sex,age and severity of the disease is not affecting the distribution of TCM syndromes in patients with depression factors.4.Depression in patients with plasma cortisol levels and the existence of TCM syndromes, plasma cortisol levels of TCM syndromes more manifestations of liver qi stagnation syndrome.
