The Efficacy And Safety Of IPOM Versus Sublay Surgery For Incisional Hernia

Objective:To compare the efficacy and safty of IPOM and Sublay for incisional herniaMethods:The incision cases were collected from January 2013 to December 2017 in Shengjing Hospital of China Medical University and the Fourth Affiliated Hospital of China Medical University.The inclusion criteria were established to screen cases that meet the criteria.SPSS 22.0 statistical software was used to conduct a retrospective analysis of the collected data.For measurement data,use t test;for count data,use?~2test.Comparing two groups In following aspects:operative time,postoperative hospital stay,total hospital cost,the amount of blood loss,incidence of intraoperative bowel injury,incidence of bowel obstruction,incidence of incision infection,incidence of postoperative incision fat liquefaction,The incidence of postoperative serum and recurrence rate.Results:64 cases were getted,including 30 cases in the IPOM group and 34 cases in the Sublay group.The basic characteristics of the two groups(gender,age,diameter of orbit,orbital position,)were not statistically different and comparable.Compared with Sublay group,IPOM group had shorter operation time,shorter hospital stay,less blood loss amount,lower incision infection rate,and lower incision fat liquefaction rate.However,the Sublay was lower than the IPOM in terms of total cost,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);the rate of intestinal injury,the rate of intestinal obstruction,serum rate,recurrence rate was not statistical different(P>0.05).Conclusions:Both IPOM and Sublay were effective in the treatment of incisional hernias.Compared with Sublay surgery,IPOM has the advantages of short operative time,short postoperative hospital stay,less intraoperative blood loss,and less postoperative complications.However,IPOM surgery can cause serious complications because of the placement of the patch in the abdominal cavity.Occurrence;Incision-related complications of Sublay surgery were lower than IPOM in total hospital costs.
