Objective: Applied tounong San and pujixiaodu Yin addition and subtraction, verify the clinical effect of " tonifying qi tounong quxie detoxification method" in treatment of evil type recurrent acute suppurative tonsillitis. It is hoped to provide a method for clinical treatment of recurrent acute suppurative tonsillitis. Methods: from December 2016 to December 2017,we collected recurrent acute suppurative tonsillitis cases in the outpatient observation room of emergency department of Sichuan integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine hospital, strictly followed the inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria, and included 64 patients.A random number table method was used to divide into the experimental group(32 cases)and the control group(32 cases). The control group was given conventional western medicine treatment plan(drip Levofloxacin Mesylate and Sodium Chloride Injection,0.4g/200 ml,qd). On the basis of the control group, the experimental group was given free granules of Chinese medicine(addition tounong San and pujixiaodu Yin,tid). The two groups were supplemented by general treatment and symptomatic treatment. The observation course was 3 days. The condition of tonsillar enlargement, tonsillar hyperemia, tonsillar purulent secretion, pharyngeal pain, fever, shortness of breath, thirst, and intake of food were recorded every day in two groups of patients.Changes of inflammatory markers before and after treatment(white blood cell count(WBC),neutrophil percentage(N%)and C reactive protein(CRP)were recorded, observe the occurrence of adverse reactions during the treatment. After the course of treatment, telephone follow?up treatment and recovery. All data were analyzed and processed by SPSS 21 software package.Result:1.Baseline comparison: General data of the test group and the control group(including age, sex, course of disease),the severity of the disease(including symptoms, signs points and inflammatory markers),and so on,the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).2.Comparison of symptoms and signs:(1)Tonsillar enlargement:In the first day, second day and third day after treatment, there was no significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05).(2)Tonsillar hyperemia:There was no significant difference between the two groups on the first day after treatment(P>0.05).In the second day and third day after treatment, there was a significant difference between the two groups(P<0.05).(3)Tonsillar suppurative: There was no significant difference between the two groups on the first day after treatment(P>0.05).In the second day and third day after treatment, there was a significant difference between the two groups(P<0.01).(4)Sore throat: There was no significant difference between the two groups after treatment in the first day, second day and third day(P>0.05).(5)Fever: In the first day, second day and third day after treatment, the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).(6)Shortness of breath and lazy words: There was no significant difference between the two groups on the first day after treatment(P>0.05).After second day and third day treatment, there was a significant difference between the two groups(P<0.05).(7)Thirst: In the first day, second day and third day after treatment, the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).(8)Eating: There was no significant difference between the two groups on the first day after treatment(P>0.05).After second day and third day treatment, there was a significant difference between the two groups(P<0.05).3.Comparison of inflammatory markers: Three days after treatment, there was no significant difference in WBC and CRP between the two groups(P>0.05).there was a significant difference in N% between the two groups(P<0.01).4.Comparison of clinical efficacy:(1)Comparison of the score of TCM Syndrome: The two groups could significantly improve the score of TCM syndrome, but the experimental group was better than the control group in improving the score of TCM syndrome(P<0.01).(2)Comparison of the outcome: After three days of treatment, the outpatient follow-up rate of the experimental group was 73.4%,and the follow-up rate of the control group was 33.3%,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01).(3)Comparison of the effective rate: after 3 days of treatment, the effective rate of the experimental group was 56.7%,while that of the control group was 6.7%.The experimental group was significantly better than the control group(P<0.01).5.Security analysis: There was no adverse reaction during the treatment of the two groups. Conclusion: "Tonifying qi tounong quxie detoxification method" plus Western medicine is effective for the treatment of recurrent acute suppurative tonsillitis due to qi deficiency and pathogenic factors.Compared with the basic Western medicine, the integrative effect of Chinese and Western medicine is better. It can improve the rate of recovery and the rate of follow-up in the outpatient department. The experimental group has obvious advantages than the control group in improving tonsillar congestion, suppurative, fever, shortness of breath, speech, thirst and eating.
