Comparative Study On Hospitalization Cost Of Patients With Gastric Cancer In Qingdao Hospital

Objective:Gastric cancer is one of the high-grade and malignant tumors in China.Its incidence and mortality are higher than the world average.It not only seriously jeopardizes people's physical health,but also brings serious economic burdens on families and society.The purpose of this study was to investigate the composition of the hospitalization cost of patients undergoing gastric cancer surgery in the general hospitals in Qingdao and to analyze the characteristics and influencing factors of hospitalization costs in patients with gastric cancer in different hospitals,and to compare the difference in hospitalization costs among patients with gastric cancer in different hospitals.And try to find out the problems in medical service models and management in different hospitals,and explore improvement measures.Methods:On the basis of clarifying the purpose of the study,the relevant data are collected through literature research.With the help of the hospital's HIS system to collect the information about the hospitalization expense on the patient's home page.With the relevant theoretical basis,the data processing software EPIDATA 3.0 and SPSS 22.0 were used for descriptive analysis,chi-square test and variance analysis.And through the insider interview on hospital management and medical personnel,understanding the hospital internal differences of medical service and management measure to supplement missing information in the questionnaire;according to the results of investigation and interview,the differences and causes of hospitalization expenses of patients with gastric cancer surgery in three hospitals were analyzed.Results:Based on the existing literature and the data collected,this paper mainly studies the following contents :(1)the basic information of gastric cancer surgery patients in different hospitals and the analysis of hospital diagnosis and treatment;(2)analysis of the composition of hospitalization expenses in patients with gastric cancer in different sample hospitals;(3)the difference of hospitalization expenses and its influencing factors in patients with gastric cancer surgery in different sample hospitals.The study found that there were significant differences in hospitalization expenses among patients with gastric cancer in three hospitals.Except for daily room,treatment fee and blood fee,the otherexpenses(including test fee,examination fee,medicine fee,consumable material fee,operating fee,and the other cost)were statistically different.In addition,through the analysis of the influencing factors of hospitalization costs,the degree of influence of the influencing factors on the hospitalization costs of patients with gastric cancer in hospital A was ranked as follows: surgical methods,length of stay in hospital,discharge from hospital;the degree of influence of the influencing factors on the hospitalization costs of patients with gastric cancer in hospital B was ranked as follows:length of stay in hospital,surgical methods,discharge from hospital;the degree of influence of the influencing factors on the hospitalization costs of patients with gastric cancer in hospital C was ranked as follows:length of stay in hospital,surgical methods,discharge from hospital.Conclusion : This study excluded the influence of the patient's age,gender,household registration,pathological staging,etc.,combined with the impact of cost factors,compared the hospitalization costs of the three sample hospitals.The study found that the reasons for the difference in hospitalization costs for patients with gastric cancer in the three sample hospitals were as follows:(1)Hospital Management.Mainly reflected in hospital process management,information management and medical quality management;(2)Physician behavior.Mainly reflected in the use of drugs,consumables,etc.in different hospitals;(3)Medical technology level.This is mainly reflected in the differences in the surgical methods that the patient receives.As a result,the author puts forward that the hospital can explore the ways to implement press disease to plant price payment method,implement the clinical route management,shorten the average hospitalization days,promote the rational use of medicines and consumables,and strengthen the construction of medical ethics to reduce the patient's economic burden of disease.
