| Objective: A total of 6212 patients with primary lung cancer who underwent thoracic surgery in the First Affiliated Hospital of China Medical University from 2011 to 2020 were retrospectively analyzed to preliminarily understand the epidemic trend of lung cancer patients in Liaoning Province in recent years,so as to provide help for the diagnosis, treatment and follow-up epidemiological investigation of lung cancer patients in Liaoning Province. Methods: The data were obtained from the medical record management system of the first affiliated Hospital of China Medical University, and the relevant data of patients with primary lung malignant tumor who were hospitalized in thoracic surgery and received surgical treatment from January 1,2011 to December 31,2020 were collected and studied. The clinical epidemiological characteristics, pathological types, information related to surgical treatment and dynamic changes of various observation indexes of patients with lung cancer in our hospital were collated and analyzed.Results:(1)A total of 6212 cases were collected. There were 3017 males and 3195 females. The distribution of lung cancer patients was the most in the age group of 61-70 years old(p < 0.01).The average age of patients decreased year by year, and the average age of males was higher than that of females(p < 0.01).(2)The constituent ratio of adenocarcinoma was the highest in the pathological type of lung cancer, accounting for74.76%,and showed an upward trend(p < 0.01).The younger the age,the higher the proportion of adenocarcinoma, and the higher the age,the higher the proportion of squamous cell carcinoma(p < 0.01).The constituent ratio of adenocarcinoma was high in female, accounting for 61.50%,and that of squamous cell carcinoma was high in male, accounting for 88.60%(p < 0.01).Adenocarcinomas were mainly non-smoking patients(76.6%),and squamous cell carcinoma were mainly smoking patients(67.4%).Adenocarcinoma was more common in the upper lobe of the right lung, squamous cell carcinoma in the lower lobe of the left lung, and small cell lung cancer in the lower lobe of the right lung(p < 0.01).(3)There were 3130 cases of thoracoscopic surgery and 3082 cases of traditional thoracotomy. The rate of endoscopic surgery is increasing year by year, reaching 95.00% in 2020.The average duration of video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery in recent 5 years was 123.46 minutes, which was significantly lower than that in the previous 5 years(p < 0.05).The average postoperative hospital stay in recent 5 years was 7.97 days, which was significantly lower than 11.13 days in the previous 5 years(p< 0.01).Video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery can significantly reduce the length of postoperative hospital stay(p < 0.01).The postoperative hospital stay of males was longer than that of females(p < 0.01).Conclusion: The number of patients with lung cancer is increasing year by year, with a younger trend, the proportion of female patients is increasing year by year, the proportion of adenocarcinoma is getting larger and larger, and the rate of endoscopy is getting higher and higher.Video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery has become a mature treatment. |
