Objective: This study is based on the theory of social capital, taking maternal as the object of study, through the third trimester of the third trimester of pregnancy, the first week after childbirth, and the third postpartum cross-sectional survey. In retrospective cohort, the remaining population served as a non-cohort for comparative study, aiming to use non-cohormies to explore the role of social capital in the maternal depression(prevalence rate)and the study of impact pathway mechanisms, and in conjunction with cohort studies to demonstrate that social capital is in a natural state. The underlying trends and the role of depression(morbidity)combine to confirm hypotheses and provide scientific basis and direction for maternal health management.Methods:(1)Literature research method: Read domestic journals, master's and doctoral theses through the Chinese databases of China Knowledge Network,Wanfang,Weipu, etc.;search documents related to foreign languages such as Science Direct,Pubmed, and web of science to understand the concept of social capital,Research on the Relationship between Postpartum Depression and Social Capital.(2)Questionnaire study: A general survey,a postpartum depression scale, and a social capital scale were developed during the third trimester, the first postpartum week, and the sixth and eighth week postpartum.(3)On-site investigation method: adopting intentional sampling method to select eligible survey subjects, which were completed three times in 30 to 36 weeks of gestation,1 week in postpartum, and 6 to 8 weeks after delivery. The code investigates the way of online questionnaires.(4)Data analysis method: using statistics such as statistical graphs, univariate analysis, single factor analysis, multiple linear regression, logistic regression, and structural equation modeling to analyze the prevalence of social capital and postpartum depression, and the impact of social capital on postpartum depression path.Results:(1)The prevalence of depression in the non-cohort and late pregnancy was 25.9%,the prevalence was 16.8% in the first postpartum, and the prevalence of depression was 25.8% in the postpartum 6-8 weeks. In the cohort, the cumulative prevalence of postpartum depression was 34.2%,of which the prevalence was 17.3% at the first postpartum, and the prevalence of depression was 16.9% at postpartum 6-8 weeks.(2)The determinants of depressive demographic characteristics in non-cohort and third trimester are: 11 negative influence factors such as place of residence and educational level occupation;factors affecting depression in the first week postpartum are: place of residence, confinement conditions, etc. There were 13 negative influence factors. The factors affecting post-partum 6-8 weeks depression were: negative pregnancy history, baby growth and development and other 9 negative influence factors.Demographic characteristics are confounding factors for the impact of social capital on maternal depression.(3)In the non-cohort,the four elements of social capital are the influencing factors of depression in the corresponding stages during the three periods of pregnancy and birth. The independent risk factors for depression during the third trimester were: social trust and social participation;the independent risk factors for depression in the first week after delivery were: social trust and social participation;independent risk factors for depression after the first 6 to 8 weeks were: social trust and network participate.(4)In the non-cohort structural equation model, the direct influence of the CSC itself in the third trimester and the impact on the SSC indirectly affect the depression. The standardized direct effects are-0.04,-0.26,-0.18,and the standardized indirect effect is-0.28,-0.11,-0.17,the standardized total effect of-0.32,-0.37,-0.35;SSC directly affects maternal depression, its standardized direct effect is-0.41,-0.23,-0.28.(5)There was no statistical difference in the mean value of social capital at each stage(unless the depression group had improved social networks during the third trimester). In the correlation analysis, there was no correlation between social capital(except for social participation)and EPDS in the non-depressed group;social participation in the depression group affected postpartum depression values in all periods, and the structural social capital in the 6th and 8th week after delivery. Both social reciprocity and postpartum depression have an effect. In the regression analysis, social trust and social participation in the non-depressive group had a protective effect on mental health in the third trimester;social participation had a protective effect on mental health after the first week of postpartum and the 6th and 8th weeks after delivery.Depression group's social trust and social reciprocity have a protective effect on postpartum mental health of EPDS in the first week after delivery;social participation has a protective effect on mental health after 6-8 weeks postpartum.Conclusions:(1)The demographic characteristics of postpartum depression are inconsistent in the third trimester of pregnancy, the first week after delivery and the sixth and eighth week post partum, and it is a confounding factor of the influence of social capital on depression during pregnancy and childbirth.(2)Each element of social capital has a negative impact on depression during pregnancy and childbirth.(3)The impact of social capital on depression during the third trimester is the same, that is,CSC and SSC have a direct impact on depression during pregnancy and childbirth,CSC has an indirect effect, but the effect of the effect of different,SSC on prenatal depression greater than CSC,CSC The effect on postpartum depression is greater than SSC.(4)Under natural state(without intervention),social capital has relative stability from the third trimester, the first week after delivery, and the sixth to eighth week after delivery(unless the depression group has improved social networks during the third trimester),and there is no significant fluctuation trend.(5)The incidence of postpartum depression in women who are exposed to low structural social capital(cumulative rates, incidence in the first week and 6 to 8 weeks postpartum)is about twice that of high structural social capital.(6)Social capital did not affect all patients in the cohort, and the non-depression group and the depression group also had different effects.(7)Maternal and childbirth should open their hearts and minds, care for themselves, regulate diet and sleep;family society should improve the maternal social capital;the government should pay attention to prevention and intervention innovation, focus on special groups, and guide healthy collaborative management.
