Objective: To investigate the relationship between serum uric acid,?-glutamyl transferase and carotid atherosclerosis in different ethnic groups in Xinjiang. Methods:We collected 110 cases of Kazakh carotid artery plaque group,110 cases of Kazakh carotid artery plaque group and Han carotid artery plaque in January 2015 to January 2017 in the First Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University.Group 110 cases,Han carotid artery plaque group 110 cases, serum uric acid,GGT levels,to understand the relationship between carotid atherosclerosis and serum uric acid,GGT.The clinical data and blood test contents of each group were analyzed to find out the risk factors of carotid atherosclerosis in Han and Kazakans and to speculate whether there was any difference. Results: Compared with the control group, the Kazak and Han case groups all showed similar age, hypertension, coronary heart disease,diabetes,smoking,TG,HDL-C,LDL-C,UA,and GGT levels compared with the control group. The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The age of the plaque group, hypertension, diabetes, coronary heart disease, smoking rate,TG,LDL-C,UA,and GGT levels were higher than those in the no-plaque group, and the HDL-C was low.In the non-plaque group, the general data of the Kazakh group and the Han group were compared, and the differences in age,GGT,and TG,HDL-C,LDL-C,UA,and GGT were statistically significant(P<0.05).Higher than the Kazak group, the GGT level is lower than the Kazakh group;multivariate logistic regression analysis found that hypertension, diabetes, smoking history,age,LDL-C,UA,GGT are independent effects of carotid atherosclerosis Factors, and all risk factors. Conclusion: Serum uric acid,?-glutamyltransferase,is a risk factor for carotid atherosclerosis in Kazakh and Han people. The levels of blood?-glutamyltransferase in patients with carotid atherosclerosis in the Han nationality group may be lower than those in the Kazak group, and there is no significant difference in serum uric acid levels. The levels of uric acid and?-glutamyltransferase in patients with carotid atherosclerosis in both ethnic groups were positively correlated with carotid atherosclerotic plaque thickness.
