Objectives:To understand the status of depression,anxiety and social support of men who have sex with men(MSM),to investigate the related factors of depression and anxiety in MSM,and the correlation between AIDS high-risk sexual behaveior and depression and anxiety.It provides a scientific basis for the establishment of psychological intervention strategies based on social organization and suitable for MSM.Methods:Across-sectional investigation method was taken in this survey.HIV testing and questionnaire investigation was conducted at Gay social organization incoming,Yunnan province,the respondents must be included in the standard among MSM.The sampling method was convenient for sampling.HIV antibody was tested by collecting fingertip blood and questionnaire was finished by face to face.The questionnaire of AIDS awareness and risk behavior was designed based on "sentinel surveillance of AIDS",which came from Chinese center for disease control and prevention.Depression Scale and Anxiety Scale made by William W.K.Zung was used for the symptoms of depression and anxiety investigate;Social support rate scale made by XIAO Shuiyuan was used for Social support investigate.Qualitative investigate of the respondents which for some symptoms of depression,anxiety or not present symptoms was conducted face to face for about 30 minutues in an independent room.The software of epidata 3.1 was used for data type-in and SPSS 17.0 was used for data statistical analysis.Results:A total of 400 questionnaires were completed and all of that were valid,the effective rate was 100%.We've done 30 qualitative interviews.The respondents aged from 18 to 75 years old,the average age was(29.59±8.99).Marital status was given priority to unmarried,accounted for 79.75%(319/400),and 8.75%(28/319)cohabitation in unmarried,Married people accounted for 20.00%(81/400),and Of married people,70.37%(57/81)in marriage;The degree of education was mainly based on higher education,Junior college or above accounted for 45.25%(181/400);The occupational profile was wide,servicee industry accounted for 43.75%(175/400),Students accounted for 10.75%(43/400);The average monthly income was about 3000 yuan,and the 55.50%(222/400)was belowed 3,000 yuan.The detection rate of depressive symptoms was 34.50%(138/400);the detection rate of anxiety symptomms was 21.25%(85/400),and 16.75%(67/400)of the survey subjects had both symptoms of depression and anxiety.The major risk factors for depressive symptoms include:Nonrecognition of homosexual identity and commercial sex with sex(P<0.05).The major risk factors for anxiety symptoms include:Nonrecognition of homosexual identity.The number of fixed partners for nearly six months,Sex in the last six months with the opposite sex(P<0.05).The self-determination of homosexuals was 55.75%(223/400),Bisexualsacc ounted for 43.25%(173/400);86.75%(347/400)MSM not disclosed sexual orie ntation.56.25%(225/400)of MSM sometimes hope they were not a gay,66.25%(265/400)of MSM feared of family and friend found that he was a gay,5 6.00%(224/400)of MSM had been under great pressure to keep secret of being a gay.The awareness rate of AIDS knowledge was 92.50%(370/400).88.75%(355/400)of MSM had received services that related to HIV/AIDS prevention,but 66.75%(267/400)of MSM had sex in the last month,only 52.05%(139/262)of MSM used condoms every time when they had sex,9.54%(25/262)of MSM never used a condom;94.75%(379/400)of MSM had anal sex with same sex i n the last six months,48.25%(183/379)of MSM used condoms every time wh en they had anal sex.Condom use rate:Commercial sexuality>Temporary partne r>Fixed partner>Heterosexual sex.The average scores of each dimension and the total scoreswere of Social support as follows:objective support(5.51 ± 1.96)?subjective support(16.54±4.91)?utilize support(7.19±2.05)and total points(29.24 ± 6.75),which were lower than the social domestic normthose of the national average(all P<0.01).Conclusions:The detection rate of depression and anxiety symptoms was higher than the general population,and the main symptoms were depressive symptoms.The MSM had a relatively low level of sexual orientation,Lower social support and utilization of social support.Less sexual orientation and social support were the major risk factors for depression and anxiety in this population;The knowledge rate of AIDS knowledge in MSM population was higher,but the proportion of persistent use of condoms was still at a low level?the high risk sexual behavior interacts with psychological problems such as depression and anxiety.We should be targeted to design psychological intervention package of MSM,to improve their selfidentity and the ability to use social support,to incorporate psychological interventions into the current MSM of AIDS comprehensive inte-rventions services,and to reduce the high risk of sexual behaviors that caused by bad mood.
