Objective:(1)In Internet plus,to investigate the continuing education needs of urologists,and analyze the existing problems.(2)As the actual needs of the urologist,to construct a new continuing education method for urologists base on We Chat platform.(3)To assess the effect of the teaching reform and explore the prospect of the application.Method:(1)A questionnaire survey was conducted among 215 urologists for their demands on continuing education,including the status of continuing education in the past year,the utilization of Internet resources,the clinical problems and the demand for continuing education.(2)We Chat was applied to the urologists' continue education as a new way of teaching reform.(3)A questionnaire was filled out by 203 urologists which were random selected from the continue education platform.The topic selection,lecture process,auxiliary resources and other indicators were scored to assess the effect of the teaching reform.The questionnaire score was recorded and statistics processed.Results:(1)The results of continue education needs questionnaire survey:(1)The learning present situation of the respondents,nearly a year to participate in the exchange of learning 1~2times accounted for 62.33%,3~5times accounted for 28.84% in the exchange of learning,learning to participate in more than 5 times accounted for 8.84%;(2)The encountered in clinical work and continuing education difficulties: 88 respondents said lack of learning opportunities and expert guidance,accounting for 40.93%;85 respondents need to further enhance the clinical skills operation,accounting for 39.53%;25 respondents showed that lack of experience to deal with difficulties of difficult cases,accounting for 11.63%.(3)The continuing education curriculum requirements: 76 subjects required to study laparoscopic related courses;62 subjects to learn prostate disease related courses;49subjects to study of percutaneous nephrolithotomy(PCNL)related courses,urinary tract tumors,cancer,surgical techniques,case sharing has demand.(4)All the respondents used mobile We Chat,and were willing to participate in the mobile network to continue education.(2)The results of the new mode of continuing education for urologist using:(1)The Department of Urology of We Chat public platform was established to share knowledge and education resources,and the number of attention was 16 thousand.(2)It has established a micro channel group 40 cases,online sharing,resource sharing of 500 people per group,benefit the urologist to reach 20 thousand people,accounted for more than half of the national register of urologic surgeon.(3)Urologist Learning Alliance was established base on qianliaolive,launched the more than 120 phase of the programme,to meet the demand of continuing education for urological surgeons,all urologists were possible attend classes whenever and wherever they needed.There were more than 13 thousand urologists use attention.(3)The result of the assess for the effect of the teaching reform: the questionnaire survey of 203 students showed the total score wes 87.73,and the score is high in terms of topic selection,course content,video integrity,interaction atmosphere.Conclusion As the actual needs of the urologist,constructed the new continuing education method for urologists base on We Chat platform.It was considered to be an effective tool of improve the continue education effect for urologists.It can be used for continue education of the other specialist doctors.
