1 BackgroundIn 2015,the number of registered nurse rised to 2.36 per thousand people from 1.52 of the year 2010,of which the total amount was three million two hundred and forty-one thousand and expected to reach 3.14 per thousand people in the year 2020,totally four million and forty-five hundred thousand people.As an essential part of nursing education,clinical education is facing a big challenge because of the increasing number of nurse population.With the increasing demand of high quality care,lager population with bacholor's degree and higher requirements of the undergraduate nursing students,it is urgent for preceptors to improve their abilities in teaching and abilities in helping the undergraduate better prepare for future work.Preceptor training program has been valued and implemented,however,it needs to improve in the following aspects:the program is universal,no one is designed especially to train preceptors of the undergraduate;there are many contents in the program but no clear aims were observed;some measures were too universal to be a suitable tool to measure efficiency of any traing program,for others that were desinged for a certain program,no psychological testing was reported.Thus,there are three aims in the research:establish core competencies that are required from preceptors of the undergraduate;validate the core competence group to make a reliable measure for preceptors' assessment;design training contents for the preceptor of the undergraduate based on the core competence group.2 ObjectivesCore competence group has been collected to provide evidences for hierarchial training goals among preceptors of the undergraduate,based on whom training contents were established to provide a scientific basis for future hierarchial training among preceptors.The core competence group was further developmed to a scale that specifically measure preceptors of the undergraduate students.In order to measure the convergent validity,Nursing Clinical Teacher Effectiveness Inventory was translated into Chinese and tested with reliability and validity.3 Methods and objectsThe study has been divided into four parts:the first part is the construction of core competences for the clinical nursing preceptor of the undergraduate through the expert consultation;the second part is the construction of the training contents for the clinical nursing preceptor of the undergraduate based on the core competence and the expert consultation;the third part is reliability and validity of the Chinese version of Nursing Clinical Teacher Effectiveness Inventory among Nursing preceptors of the undergraduate Students so as to be used to evaluate the reliability of the self-made scale;the forth part is validation of a Core Competence Scale for the NursingPreceptors of the Undergraduate Students.4 Result4.1Based on the core competence,the training contents for the clinical nursing preceptor of the undergraduate was constructed20 experts from 14 third-grade class-A hospitals or nursing colleges were consulted.Valid response rates of three rounds were 90.1%?93.1%?100%,expert authority coefficient was 0.935,for Kendall coefficient W,P<0.05.Indicators of the first class,second class and third class weigh 0.11 to 0.35,0.09 to 0.56,0.08 to 0.67 separately.Consistency ratio is less than 0.10.The training contents for the preceptors of the undergraduate were consisted of four modules:teaching ability module,professional development ability module,management ability module and problem-solving ability module,which were further divided into 48 items in 14 module topics with detailed training hours and teaching methods.4.2 The Core Competence Scale for the Nursing Preceptors of the Undergraduate Students was validatedThe final scale consists of 3 dimensions and 22 items which explained 63.714%of the total variance.Model fits indexes of CFA were X2/df=2.669,GFI=0.847,AGFI=0.813,CFI=0.924,RMSEA=0.076,SRMR=0.0491.CR values of 3 dimensions were among 0.913?0.919.ICC of the total scale was 0.883(P<0.01)and of the 3 dimensions ranged from 0.787 to 0.862(P<0.01).Cronbach?of the total scale was 0.95 and of its 3 dimensions were among 0.901 to 0.911.In convergent validity analysis,Pearson corralation was made between C-NCTEI and the Core competence scale whose coefficient ranges from 0.424 to 0.601(P<0.01).All items weight high in its belonged dimention while weigh low in others.5 Conclusion5.1 The training contents for the clinical nursing preceptor of the undergraduate was constructed,which has been proved to be reliable,reasonable and practical for future use.5.4 The Core Competence Scale for the Nursing Preceptors of the Undergraduate Students was made of which the reliability and validity of the scale are acceptable for the future use.
