Objective:Prostatic cancer(PCa)and benign prostatic hyperplasia(BPH)are all common health problems faced by older men in the world. The occurrence and development of both are closely related to the related metabolism of individuals. Both domestic and foreign studies have confirmed the correlation between the level of biochemical markers and the two.But most PCa patients themselves have BPH.In this study, the biochemical differences between patients with BPH and PCa were compared and the biochemical differences between them were analyzed. Methods:From January 2015 to June 2016 a total of 383 cases of BPH/PCa patients were admitted from the department of urology of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University. All the patients were Han Chinese males, excluding patients with other tumors and major systemic diseases.By collecting patient outpatient and inpatient medical records, records of the patient's basic information, history, including high blood pressure, diabetes, chronic related biochemical indicators(blood sugar, triglyceride, the ester protein),prostate volume(adopt by transrectal ultrasound(TRUS)measured the diameter line calculation).Of the obtained data were retrospectively analyzed,we try to find the differences from PCa and BPH.Results:(1)General overview: In cases of 383 cases, including 120 cases in group PCa with BPH and 263 cases in BPH group. The average age was71.92(8.57,51-91),prostate volume was 71.25(35.81,14.7-237.9)mL,fasting blood-glucose was 5.6(1.61,2.84-21.30)mmol/L,high density lipoprotein(HDL)was 1.18(0.34,0.12-2.80)mmol/L,low density lipoprotein(LDL)was 2.67(0.76,1.06-5.20)mmol/L,very low density lipoprotein(VLDL)was 0.54(0.28,0.01-2.13)mmol/L,The average number of triglycerides(TG)was 1.25(0.70,0.38-4.99)mmol/L.(2)Comparison between groups: There was no significant difference in hypertension,PV,HDL,LDL,VLDL and TG(P>0.05).There were statistically significant difference between the two groups were age?FBG and diabetes(P<0.05).(3)In group analysis: in PCa with BPH group,PV showed negative correlation with HDL and positive correlation with age?FBG(?7.0mmol/L)and the prevalence of DM(P<0.05).In BPH group,PV showed positive correlation with age?FBG(?7.0mmol/L)and the prevalence of DM(P<0.05).Other indicators were not significantly(P> 0.05).Conclusions:Age is a risk factor for BPH and PCa,and older patients are more likely to merge with PCa based on BPH.PCa Patients with BPH have lower FBG than patients only with BPH.At the same time,no matter patients have PCa or not, diabetes and FBG?7.0mmol/L are risk factors for BPH patients with a large PV.PCa patients with BPH had a negative correlation between prostate volume and HDL.
