Objective: In recent years, the anxiety of patients with rheumatoid arthritis has been widely concerned. The aim of this study was to investigate the status and the related factors of anxiety and depression in patients with rheumatoid arthritis and their families,to provide reference for clinical psychological intervention treatment.Methods:1.The 83 healthy people were investigated by SDS(Self-Rating Depression Scale)and SAS(Self-rating Anxiety Scale)by anonymous survey. The information of 69 patients with rheumatoid arthritis was collected and investigated by the general status questionnaire,SDS,SAS,HAQ(Health Assessment Questionnaire),and DAS28(Disease Activity Score). The family members of 30 inpatients were assessed by SDS and SAS.The difference of depression and anxiety between the sick group, the family of the patients and the normal group was compared, and the relationship between the general data, the condition of the disease, the health score and the anxiety and depression was analyzed.2.Using 37 RA patients with early in the morning fasting serum samples, with double antibody sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay method to detect the levels of serum IL-33,and analyzes the correlation of serum IL-33 with SDS scores,SAS scores and disease activity.Results:1.The incidence of depression and anxiety in the sick group, the family of the patients and the normal group were 20.3%,13.3%,7.2% and 17.4%,16.7%,4.8%.The incidence of depression and anxiety in the sick group was significantly higher than that in the normal group,(P=0.018,P=0.016).The level of SDS in the sick group was related to economic burden, children’s economy, disease burden,HAQ score,DAS28-CRP(P=0.016,P=0.041,P=0.000,P=0.050,P=0.010).Economic burden and disease burden were independent risk factors of RA depression. The level of SAS in the disease group was correlated with the economic burden, the children’s economy, disease burden, economic burden,HAQ score and DAS28-CRP(P=0.01,P=0.009,P=0.000,P=0.010,P=0.033,P=0.025).The disease burden is independent risk factors for RA anxiety.2.The incidence of depression in the family group was higher than that in the normal group, the difference was not statistically significant(P=0.452).The incidence of anxiety in the family group was significant higher than that in the normal group(P=0.040).3.The level of IL-33 in RA patients was correlated with the score of SDS,SAS and disease activity(P=0.001,P=0.014).There is no significant correlation between the level of IL-33 and the degree of disease activity(P=0.028).Conclusion:1.Patients with rheumatoid arthritis have a higher incidence of anxiety and depression than those of the normal population. They have more serious depression and anxiety in the people who have psychological burden of disease, heavy economic burden, heavy burden on marriage and choice of spouse and high disease activity.2.The incidence of depression was higher than that of the normal population.3.The level of IL-33 was positively correlated with depression and anxiety.
