| ObjectiveThis study aimed at knowing something about current situations of burdens born by major caregivers of LAR patients,analyzing the relevance between their burden and their life quality and solutions,exploring chief factors influencing their burden,and further offering reference for relieving their mental and physical pressure and improving their life quality.MethodsIn this research,175 LAR patients and their major caregivers in two Class-3 Level-A hospitals of Henan province are selected from November 2016 to December 2017 as research objects.Research tools include questionnaires on general information of caregivers,Connor-Davidson resilience scale(CD-RISC),Zarit Caregiver Burden Interview(ZBI),Simple Coping Style Questionnaire(SCSQ),Caregiver Quality of Life(CQOL);questionnaires on general information is also used on patients,covering their gender,age and whether they have gone through cavity mirror or not,etc.Epidata3.1 is used to input data and SPSS20.0 is used for statistical analysis.The methods are as follows:(1)Measurement data are described by means and standard deviations;counting data are described by frequency;(2)Variances are used to analyze and discuss whether general information of caregivers like their gender or income,etc.influences their burden remarkably;(3)Pearson is used to analyze the the relations between care burden,coping style and life quality of the major caregivers of LAR patients;(4)Multiple linear regression analysis is used to further analyze the factors that influence the care burden of major caregivers of LAR patients.Results1.Current situations of burdens of major caregivers of LAR patientsThe overall score of care burden of major caregivers of LAR patients is(31.31±15.10)points,and it is thus generally believed that the care burden is at a moderate level.The score of individual burden is(17.14±8.24)points,and the score of responsibility burden is(7.59±5.18)points.There are 129 persons whose care burden is above the moderate level,taking up 73.7%.2 Single-factor analysis of the care burden of major caregivers of LAR patients2.1 The factors include the relationship between the caregiver and the patient,whether the caregiver has children or not,whether the caregiver suffer from any diseases,the number of his/her children below 18,how much time he/she spends every day,etc.There is statistical difference in the care burden of major caregivers of LAR patients(P<0.05).Caregivers who have children below 18,or are suffering from certain disease,or spend over 12 hours taking care of the patients bear a relatively heavier burden.3.Relevance between the care burden of major caregivers of LAR patients and psychological resilienceRelevance analysis reveals that Zarit Caregiver Burden Interview(ZBI)is negatively related to psychological resilience and three dimensions,tenacity,strength and optimism(r=-0.142,-0.146,-0.103,-0.512).4.Relevance between the care burden of major caregivers of LAR patients and their coping styleRelevance analysis reveals that negative coping style is positively related to Zarit Caregiver Burden Interview(ZBI)and two dimensions,individual burden and responsibility(r=0.514,0.512,0.407 P<0.05).5.Relevance between the care burden of major caregivers of LAR patients and their life qualityRelevance analysis reveals that Zarit Caregiver Burden Interview(ZBI)is negatively related to life quality and its three dimensions,physical health,mental health,social health(r=-0.579,-0.531,-0.493,-0.585 P<0.05);Individual burden of major caregivers of LAR patients is negatively related to their life quality and its three dimensions,physical health,mental health,social health(r=-0.477,-0.458,-0.415,-0.488 P <0.05);responsibility of major caregivers of LAR patients is negatively related to their life quality,physical health,mental health and social health(r =-0.493,-0.452,-0.400,-0.540 P <0.05).6.Multiple linear regression analysis of the care burden of major caregivers of LAR patientsMultiple linear regression analysis of single-factor results and each dimension of each scale reveals that time spent to take care of the patients,negative coping style,whether the caregivers suffer from diseases and optimism(P<0.05)are the major factors that influence the care burden of major caregivers of LAR patients.Conclusions1.Care burden of major caregivers of LAR patients is at a moderate level in general,indicating that it is necessary to pay attention to their care burden.2.Care burden of major caregivers of LAR patients is negatively related to life quality and optimism,and positively related to negative coping.3.Time spent on caregiving,negative coping style,whether suffering from diseases and optimism are the major factors influencing care burden. |
