Objective:To study the caregiver burden, caregiver task of caregivers of cerebral hemorrhage inpatients, current situation of social support, and the influence factors; to explicit the relationship among caregivers’ burden, task and social support.Methodology:The main methodology is descriptive study, a type of non-experimental study. Caregivers of cerebral hemorrhage in patients who were in four hospitals in Yanbian Region of Jilin province, namely Affiliated Hospital of Yanbian University, Dunhua City Hospital, Huichun City Hospital and Antu County Hospital, are objects of this study. Investigation tools applied in this paper are general demographic information and questionnaire consisting of Chinese version of Caregiver Burden Inventory (CBI), Chinese version of Family Caregiver Task Inventory (FCTI) and Social Support Rating Scale (SSRS).SPSS19.0,astatistical software, is used to organize and analyze valid data. This paper, based on the percentage, mean, standard deviation, T-test, ANOVA variance analysis, Pearson correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis are used for statistic analysis.Results:(1)General information questionnaire shows that there are 331 objects of this study.142 offspring take the role of caregivers (42.9%), and caregivers age 46 to 60 are substantial, accounting for 36.9%.238 caregivers are the Han nationality (71.9%). There are 254 caregivers living in the city (76.7%).287 caregivers are married (86.7%), and 227 caregivers have high-school or college degrees.(2)Total points of caregiver burden are 24.60±11.938; total points of caregiver task are 35.13±6.778; and total points of social support are 41.08±6.286(3)The degrees of caregiver burden have obvious differences in aspects of relationship between the caregiver and the patient, degree of education, marital status, profession, health condition, number of people that need care; time spent caring, willingness to care of caregiver and the patient’s degree of education, marital status and way of paying (P≤0.05). The degrees of caregiver task differ in terms of relationship between the caregiver and the patient, caregiver’s profession, health condition, family economic status, number of people needs care, time spent caring, presence or absence of nursing assistant, and understanding of illness as well as patient’s education degree (P ≤0.05). The degree of social support differ in terms of relationship between the caregiver and the patient, age, nation, caregiver’s profession, health condition, degree of education, family economic status,, time spent caring, as well as patient’s education degree (P≤0.05)(4)The relationship between caregiver burden and caregiver task has a positive correlation (P≤0.01), and it has a negative correlation between caregiver burden and social support (P≤0.01)(5)Burden of caregivers is regarded as the dependent variable, five factors of caregiver task and three factors of social support are the independent variables, we conduct a multiple linear regression analysis. The results show that independent variables adjust lives in order to care, make changes, offer assistant for, and evaluate family members and community resources to enter into the regression model, the combined interpretation of the variation was 24,8%.Conclusion:(1)The degree of caregiver burden is moderate. In particular, physical burden is heaviest; the order of remaining burden is development burden, social burden, emotional burden and time-dependence burden. For caregivers of cerebral hemorrhage inpatients, the burden that they need most to reduce is physical burden.(2) The degree of caregiver ability is relatively low. The order of scores of caregiver ability from high to low is adjustment to the role of caregiver, adjustment of lives to satisfy caring needs, evaluation of family members and community resources, management of personal emotion, reaction and offer assistant. More or less deviations or flaws exist in all dimensions. The caring ability of caregivers of patients should be improved.(3) The degree of social support of caregivers is a little bit higher than moderate; this shows that social support of caregivers is relatively good.(4) The relationships among caregiver burden, caregiver task and social support: caregiver burden has a positive correlation with caregiver task, and it has a negative correlation with social support. When the caregiver burden is heavier, the ability of caring is worse, and less social support is received.(5)Factors influencing burden of caregivers of cerebral hemorrhage inpatients include the relationship between the caregiver and the patient, nation, degree of education, marital status, profession, health condition, number of people that need care, time spent caring, willingness to care of caregiver and the patient’s degree of education, marital status and way of paying.
