Objective: Observeing the effect of TCM on the survival of patients with stage II-III of colorectal cancer surgery by clinical retrospective analysis, and screening factors with affecting postoperative prognosis of colorectal cancer.Studying the relationship between traditional Chinese medicine and the type of syndrome an the prognosis to evaluate the efficacy and advantages of Chinese medicine in the treatment of colorectal cancer after surgery, which will provide a basis for clinical decision-making.Methods:The relevant data of patients who met the inclusion criter ia in our hospital in the past five years were retrospectively analyzed, and filled out registration forms, and telephone follow-up.337 patients were telephoned Successfully.follow-up results of date entered into the database,SPSS 21.0 software was used to analysis the collected data.Eva luating the efficacy of TCM Treatment for Postoperative Colorectal Can cer and effection on Prognosis From the aspects of survival and recurre nce.Discuss the impact of taking traditional Chinese medicine and type of syndrome differentiation on prognosis.Choosing the possible factors t hat affect the prognosis, which were entered to the COX proportional ha zards model and Screening factors affecting postoperative prognosis of c olorectal cancer. Results: 1?Among the 337 patients with colorectal cancer,201 were males and 136 were females. The male to female ratio was 1.48:1.Among them,50-69 years old accounted for 60.53%,and the incidence of colorectal cancer was 50-69 years old.2?The relationship between traditional Chinese medicine and survival: The median survival time for those who adhere to the Chinese medicin e group is approximately 68 months,61 months for the intermittent gro up,and 57 months for the non-use group, and three groups have signif icant differences(P<0.05).Hierarchical stratified survival analysis shows:160 patients in stage II with the median progression-free survival of ap proximately 32 months, while the adherence to the Chinese medicine gro up was 34 months, the intermittent use group was 27 months, and the non-use group was 24 months;177 patients in stage III with the median progression-free survival time was approximately 21 months,of which the adherence group was 25 months, the discontinuous group was 21 m onths, and the non-advanced group was 15 months.According to statistic s,there was a significant difference between the three groups in differe nt stages of comparison(P<0.05),suggesting that adhering to traditional Chinese medicine at different stages can prolong the patient's median pr ogression-free survival time.3?The relationship between traditional Chinese medicine and posto perative recurrence and metastasis of colorectal cancer:The rate of recu rrence and metastasis in the Chinese medicine group was 71.42%,58.87% in the discontinuous group, and 50.53% in the persistent group, the re is significant difference in the three groups(P<0.05),indicating that adherence to traditional Chinese medicine can inhibit the recurrence an d metastasis of tumors. The relationship between the type of syndrome a nd Recurrence and Metastasis of Colorectal Cancer:The highest rate of recurrence and metastasis in kidney yin deficiency of syndrome was 81.13%,followed by spleen and kidney yang deficiency(73.77%),qi and blood deficiency(51.78%),damp heat accumulation(43.75%),and inter nal resistance(33.84%).and these five groups have significant relevance, suggesting that liver and kidney yin deficiency of syndrome may be on e of the syndromes of poor prognosis. The relationship between taking tr aditional Chinese medicine and symptoms of traditional Chinese medicin e:The symptoms of abdominal pain, diarrhea, anorexia, fatigue, and nau sea and vomiting before and after taking Chinese herbal medicine were statistically significant(P<0.05).It was shown that taking Chinese herbs can improve the quality of life of patients significantly.4?COX proportional hazards regression model analysis:A score of KPS,the level of postoperative CEA,recurrence and metastasis, patholo gical stage, adjuvant chemotherapy, and traditional Chinese medicines w ere significantly associated with the survival time of patients(P<0.05),and were independent factors affecting survival. The higher the preoperat ive KPS score, the better the prognosis..On the contrary, the higher the "the level of postoperative CEA",the higher the possibility of early p ostoperative recurrence and metastasis, and the worse the prognosis. The earlier the time of "recurrence and metastasis",the shorter the survival time of patients after surgery. The later "pathological stage",the greater the possibility of recurrence and metastasis after surgery."Adjuvant chem otherapy" and "taking Chinese medicine" are protective factors for prolo nging the survival time of colorectal cancer patients.Conclusion:1?Long-term use of traditional Chinese medicine is beneficial to prolong the survival of patients with colorectal cancer, and inhibit the recurrence and metastasis of colorectal cancer and quality of life.2 ? The rate of recurrence and metastasis of liver and kidney yin deficiency of syndrome after colorectal cancer surgery is the highest, suggesting that it may be one of the syndromes with poor prognosis.3? Analysis results of multi-factor regression:These six factors which A score of KPS,the level of postoperative CEA,recurrence and metastasis, pathological stage, adjuvant chemotherapy, and traditional Chinese medicine were affect the prognosis of postoperative colorectal cancer patients. The "A score of KPS" and "the level of postoperative CEA" are the evaluation factors for the prognosis of colorectal cancer;"staging" and "recurrence and metastasis" are the risk factors for the prognosis of colorectal cancer;"adjuvant chemotherapy" and "adjuvant chemotherapy" and "Taking Chinese medicine" is a favorable factor for prognosis, which is beneficial to prolong the survival time of patients with colorectal cancer.
