| Objective:This research aims to realize the current situation about caregiver burden,coping style and quality of life in the elderly patients with hip fracture,analyze the relationship among caregiver burden,coping style and quality of life and explore the influencing factors of them,so as to provide the theoretical basis for improving caregiver's quality of life of the elderly patients with hip fracture.Methods:This study is a non-experimental research of the correlation study.The convenience sampling method was used to survey the patients and caregivers of elderly patients with hip fracture who met the inclusion criteria in six comprehensive hospitals in Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture.The 280 qustionnaires were administered.There were 261 valid questionnaires were recovered and the vaild returned rate was 93.2%.The research instruments are questionnaires.The questionnaires are divided into six parts:Social Demographic Qestionnaires of patients,Daily Life Self-care Ability Scale,Demographic Qestionnaires of caregivers,Zairt Caregiver Buiden Interview,Simplified Coping Style Qestionnaires,SF-36.The date were analyzed by SPSS 17.0.This paper applies percentage,mean,standard deviation,independent sample t test,ANOVA variance analysis,multivariate linear regression analysis and Pearson cor-relation analysis as the research methods.Results:(1)The proportion of caregivers with moderate and severe burden was 87.7%in elderly patients with hip fracture.Caregiver burden scored between 14 and 78 points,with an average score of 34.85±12.71.The diversity in the patient's age,nation,marital status,economic condition,living self-care ability and caregiver's nation,gender,literacy level,family monthly income per capita,chronic diseases,the relationship with the patient,average daily care time,duration of care,common caregivers,cause of take care of patient are statistically significant(P<0.05).(2)The coping style scored between 13 and 42 points,with an average score of 26.25±5.41.The positive coping style is at a moderate level,and the diversity in caregiver's gender,literacy level,family monthly income per capita,chronic diseases,average daily care time,duration of care,common caregivers and cause of take care are statistically significant(P<0.05);The negative coping style is higher than domestic norm,and the diversity in caregiver's gender,literacy level,family monthly income per capita,average daily care time,common caregivers and cause of take care are statistically significant(P<0.05).(3)Caregivers'quality of life scores range from 75 to 139.4,with an average score of 111.96± 16.26,which is generally at a moderate level.The diversity in caregiver's age,gender,literacy level,family mothly income per capita,chronic diseases,the relationship with the patient,average daily care time,common caregivers and cause of take care are statistically significant(P<0.05).(4)The correlation between caregiver burden,coping style and quality of life of the elderly patients with hip fracture.The caregiver burden and positive coping style are negatively correlated(r=-0.357,P<0.01).The caregiver burden and negative coping style are positively correlated(r=0.607,P<0.01).The caregiver burden and quality of life are negatively correlated(r=-0.519,P<0.01).The positive coping style and quality of life are positively correlated(r=0.450,P<0.01).The negative coping style and quality of life are negatively correlated(r=-0.518,P<0.01).(5)The positive coping style,negative coping style,caregiver's gender,family monthly income per capita,chronic diseases,the relationship with patient and common caregivers can explain 61.6%of the total variance of quality of life.(6)The caregiver burden have negative predictive effect on the quality of life of caregivers.The coping style plays partial mediating role between the caregiver burden and the quality of life.The mediating effect of positive coping style has a 20.2%contribution rate to the total effect and the contribution rate of the mediating effect of the negative coping style to the total effect is 59.6%.Conclusions:(1)The caregiver burden and coping style of the caregives are the factors influencing the quality of life of caregiver in elderly patients with hip fracture.(2)The caregiver burden has negative effect on the quality of life;The positive coping style has positive effect on quality of life;The negative coping style has negative effect on qulity of life.(3)There is a correlation between caregiver burden,coping style and quality of life of the elderly patients with hip fracture.The coping style plays partial mediating role between the caregiver burden and the quality of life. |
