Objectives1.To translate the Traumatic Injuries Distress Scale(TIDS)into Chinese, and analyze it's reliability and validity in the evaluation of early psychological distress in patients with traumatic musculoskeletal injury(MSI).2.Using Chinese version of the Traumatic Injuries Distress Scale(TIDS-C)to investigate early psychological distress of traumatic MSI patients, and analysis it's influencing factors.Methods1.The Brislin translation model was used to Sinicization of the TIDS,and the Chinese version of the Traumatic Injuries Distress Scale was formed. Then,a total of552 patients were selected to fill in questionnaires including general information questionnaire,Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale, the Short Museuloskeletal Function Assessment and TIDS-C to assess reliability and validity of scale. All participants recruited to traumatic MSI patients, who were diagnosed and treated at two tertiary hospitals in Zhengzhou between September 2016 to July 2017.We used Item-analysis to select items. The validity included content validity, exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis and convergent validity.Reliability was assessed by using internal consistency,Split-half Reliabilityand test-retest reliability.2.We recruited traumatic MSI patients to study, they were diagnosed and treated at two tertiary hospitals in Zhengzhou between August 2017 to December2017.A total of 288 patients were selected to fill in questionnaires including general information questionnaire and TIDS-C.Results1.According to the results of the Item-analysis,all items of the TIDS-C between high score group and low score group have statistical significance(P<0.05),what's more, the correlation coefficients between the items and total score of scale were0.626~0.798(P<0.05).The Item-Content Validity Index(I-CVI)ranged from 0.80 to1.00,the Scale-Content Validity Index(S-CVI)was 0.908.Exploratory factor analysis extracted three factors, which could explain 67.163%of the total variance. The confirmatory factor analysis revealed a good fit model:?~2/df=1.727;Goodness of Fit Index(GFI)was 0.956;Comparative Fit Index(CFI)was 0.987;Tucker-Lewis Index(TLI)was 0.983;Incremental Fit Index(IFI)was 0.987;Root Mean Square Error of Approximation(RMSEA)was 0.049;Root Mean-square Residual(RMR)was 0.012.The score of the TIDS-C was positively correlated with the score of the SMFA,the score of the HADSa and HADSd(r=0.587,P<0.001;r=0.310,P<0.001;r=0.409,P<0.001)which indicated acceptable convergent validity. The Cronbach's?for the TIDS-C total scale was 0.908,the Cronbach's?for three dimensions ranged from0.785 to 0.903,the Split-half Reliability was 0.846.2.The early psychological distress score for traumatic MSI patients was(15.37±4.194),and the average score for each item is(1.28±0.350).All dimensions are arranged in order of high to end,and the result is:negative affect(1.32±0.352),Intrusion/Hyperarousal(1.29±0.420),Uncontrollable pain(1.23±0.351).The results of multiple linear regression analysis show that previous trauma history, trauma severity, marital status, educational level, and family monthly income eventually entered the regression equation of the psychological distress, can explain the variation of the total level of 36.2%.ConclusionThe TIDS-C has good reliability and validity,it can be used to evaluate the early psychological distress of traumatic MSI.The patients with traumatic MSI is investigated, and the level of the early psychological distress is generally high. The influencing factors analysis showed that past trauma history, trauma severity, marital status, education level and family monthly income were the important factors influencing psychological distress. Therefore, medical staff should give appropriate and sufficient medical information support in time, combined with their potential treatment directions, and provide support or intervention for patients with traumatic MSI.So as to promote the comprehensive rehabilitation of the body and mind, and to achieve the goal of improving the comprehensive quality of life of the patients.
