Research purpose:In this study,we measured effect of traditional Korean medicine,Liuweidihuang decoction,on the gastrin, pepsin, nitric oxide and gastric mucosal pathology in the rat model of spleen-yin deficiency syndrome,to explore the mechanism of treatment of spleen yin deficiency syndrome,AS well to provide the experimental basis for clinical application of traditional Korean medicine,Liuweidihuang decoction, and it will also provide the medical treatment of spleen-yin deficiency syndrome with traditional Korean medicine effective prescription, which can increase drug selectivity.Research materials and methods:48 SPF-grade SD rats aged 3 months were randomly divided into 4 groups:normal control group, model group, treatment group(traditional Korean medicine Liuweidihuang decoction group)and positive control group(Shen rouyangzhen decoction group),12 in each group. The rat model with spleen-yin deficiency syndrome was based on the combination of eating disorders(feeding purple cabbage and lard on odd days)and excessive fatigue(swimming to the endurance limit),and then combine gavaging warming and heat-destroying yin-fluid decoction, which is composed of Evodia,Cinnamon an Monkshood. The model was evaluated based on indicators such as body weight, food intake, water intake, rectal temperature, and swimming endurance time. After the model was successfully established, the treatment group and positive control group were given corresponding therapeutic drugs, while the model group and normal control group were given normal saline of the same quantity. After 14 days of drug intervention, blood and tissue samples were collected and measured.SPSS22.0 statistical software was used for statistical processing of all data.Research results:1.Pepsin:The levels of pepsin in the treatment group and the positive control group were higher than those in the model group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01).The positive control group was slightly higher than the treatment group, but the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).2.Gastrin content:The gastrin content in the treatment group and the positive control group was higher than that in the model group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01);the positi-ve control group was significantly higher than the treatment group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).3.Nitric oxide content in gastric mucosa:The levels of nitric oxide in the treatment group and the positive control group were higher than the model group, and the difference was statistically signify-cant(P<0.01).The treatment group was slightly higher than the positive control group, but the difference was not statistical significance(P>0.05).4.Observation of gastric mucosa:In the treatment group and the pos-itive control group, the gastric mucosa were more clear than that in the model group, the mucosal epithelial cells still had swelling or adhesion, but the morphology and structure were basically normal, the necrosis and shedding were significantly reduced, and the muco-sal surface ulceration was alleviated. The mucosal arrangement was less uniform than that of the normal group, inflammatory cell infiltration was reduced, and the damaged gastric surface cells were repaired.Conclusions:1.The traditional Korean medicine,Liuweidihuang decoction, can sign-ificantly increase the content of pepsin, gastrin, nitric oxide and other indexes in rats with spleen-yin deficiency syndrome, and has obvious repairing effect on gastric mucosal damage in rats with spleen-yin deficiency syndrome. The traditional Korean medicine,Liuweidihuang decoction, can regulate the spleen and stomach func-tion of rats with spleen yin deficiency.2.Both the traditional Korean medicine,Liuweidihuang decoction, and Shenrouyangzhen decoction have significant improvement in spleen-stomach function and general symptoms in rats with spleen-yin def-iciency syndrome. The data suggest that it can achieve the same effect as shenrou yangzhen decoction.
