The Correlation Study Of Cervical Sagittal Parameters In Adults With Different Cervical Physiological Curvature

Objectives:The objective of the present study was to identify associations among the sagittal alignment parameters of the cervical spine on MRI in adults with different sagittal curvature.Methods:A retrospective analysis of the supine MRI data of 80 patients with no-specific neck pain in the outpatient department of spinal surgery from October 2013 to March 2017 was reviewed.None patients have neurogenic symptoms.Measurement parameters: TIA,T1 tilt angle(T1S),Cobb C2-C7,C2-C7 sagittal vertical axis(C2-C7 SVA).The patients were divided into the lordosis group and the kyphosis group according to the Borden's measurement.The correlation between data is clearly defined by Pearson analysis.The One-way analysis of variance(ANOVO)was used to compare the difference of different cervical alignment types(lordosis and kyphosis).Results:There was no significant difference in T1 S and TIA between the lordosis group and the kyphosis group,and the other parameters were significantly different.Analysis of correlation between the sagittal parameters: T1 S was positively correlated with C2-C7 Cobb angle(r=0.586**,P=0.000),T1 S was positively correlated with TIA(r=0.405** p=0.000),C 2-C 7 Cobb angle was positively correlated with TIA(r=0.371**,p=0.000),T1 S has negative correlation with C2-C7 SVA((r=–0.430**,P=0.001)),C2-C7 Cobb has negative correlation with C2-C7 SVA(r=-0.209**,P=0.001).There was a positive correlation between T1 S and TIA(r=0.205*,p=0.041)in the kyphosis group,and there was no significant correlation between the other sagittal parameters.Among them,T1 S and C2-C7 Cobb angle(r=0.120,P=0.610);T1S and C2-C7 SVA(r= – 0.100,P=0.700);C2-C7 Cobb angle and C2-C7 SVA(r=0.100,P=0.510).Conclusions:This study shows that the mechanism of cervical spondylosis in different cervical vertebrae is different,and the correlation of the sagittal parameters is different.Among the people with cervical lordosis,we can evaluate the sagittal sequence of the cervical spine by one or two parameters of T1 S,TIA,C2-C7 Cobb andC2-C7 SVA.For adults with cervical sagittal curvature reduction or kyphosis,T1 S or TIA,C2-C7 Cobb angle and C2-C7 SVA should be measured and evaluated comprehensively...
