Effects Of Polyhexanide Complex Solution On The Postoperative Treatment Of Breast Abscess

Background: Breast abscess is a common cause of female morbidity.It has a long course of disease and is prone to recurrence.If repeated puncture treatment is ineffective,surgical treatment of breast abscess is often required.The postoperative healing time is often long and the burden of dressing change is often heavy in the treatment of incision and drainage of breast abscess.It is of great significance to promote the postoperative wound healing.Promoting the postoperative healing of abscess can shorten the time of hospitalization and reduce the cost.Postoperative local adjuvant treatment is conducive to wound healing.Currently,there are few studies on the postoperative local adjuvant therapy of breast abscess.Polyhexanide complex solution(polyhexanide and betaine complex solution)used for wound irrigation can effectively clean wounds,control infections,promote wound healing.It has achieved a good therapeutic effect in the treatment of various wounds,such as the surface of a wound,wound cavity,infection wound and wound without infection.At present,there is no research on the application of polyhexanide complex solution in the postoperative local treatment of breast abscesses.Objective: To investigate the effects of polyhexanide complex solution on the postoperative treatment of breast abscess.Materials and Methods: All cases came from the patients with breast abscess who visited our hospital from September 2015 to September 2017.Breast abscess patients with surgical treament who met the criteria were collected and randomly divided into study group(30 cases)and control group(30 cases).The study group received intraoperative and postoperative polyhexanide complex solution flushing and the control group received postoperative physiological saline flushing.The clinical data including postoperative pain degree of breast with surgical treatment,volume of drainage,times of dressing change,hospital stay and postoperative healing time were collected.Statistical software SPSS21.0 was used to process the data.The measurement data was analyzed by t test or Nonparametric test.The counting data was analyzed by Chi square test.The grade data was analyzed by Rank sum test.P<0.05 was statistically significant.Result: In the study group and control group,the postoperative pain degree of breast with surgical treatment was mainly mild and moderate pain,there was no significant difference in the degree of pain between two groups(P>0.05).The postoperative healing time in the study group and control group was respectively 10.03±1.23 days and 12.60±1.85 days,the postoperative healing time in the study group was shorter than that in the control group(P<0.05),and the difference was statistically significant,polyhexanide complex solution was effective for the postoperative wound healing of breast abscess.The hospital stay in the study group and control group was 12.17 ± 1.37 days and 13.52 ± 1.94 days,respectively,the hospital stay in the study group was shorter than that in the control group(P<0.05),the difference was statistically significant.The number of postoperative dressing change of the study group and control group were 5.33±0.66 times and 6.10±0.71 times,respectively,the times of postoperative dressing change in the study group was less than that in the control group(P<0.05),the difference was statistically significant.The postoperative volume of drainage in the study group and control group were 105.30±31.12 ml and 114.53±39.28 ml,respectively,there was no significant difference between the study group and control group(P>0.05).Conclusion: Flushing breast abscess postoperative wound cavity with polyhexanide complex solution is better than flushing breast abscess postoperative wound cavity with normal saline,which can shorten the healing time and hospital stay,reduce the number of dressing changes.Polyhexanide complex solution is effective for the postoperative treatment of breast abscess providing a new method for postoperative treatment of breast abscess.
