The country is based on agriculture, and agriculture takes seed first.Seed is an important agricultural means of production, and seed vigor is one of the important indicators to measure seed seeding quality.High vigor seeds germinate quickly, sprout neatly, resist stress and yield high, which is of great value to agricultural production. Our team study showed that the absolute content of storage protein in seeds is critical to seed viability, but which type of storage protein has the greatest effect on seed viability needs further study. In this study, maize seeds were used as materials to explore the effects of seed embryo storage protein on seed vigor. The main results are as follows:1.Study on correlation of grain composition with seed vigorThe dry weight of whole seed dark budding young seedling was significantly correlated with single seed weight and single seed weight. There was a significant negative correlation between germination index and K element content in seed embryo, dry weight of single plant and Ca element content in seed embryo, and activity index and Ca element content in seed embryo.2.Study on the correlation between storage protein content and seed vigor in germ and endospermThe dry weight of the whole seed dark germ young seedling was significantly related to the absolute content of water-soluble protein and the absolute content of embryololytic protein, but not to the absolute content of seed endosperm.3.Study on the correlation between free amino acid content and seed vigor in the embryo of 24hThe dry weight of the whole seed dark germination seedling plant was significantly negative correlated with the lysine and arginine content in the 24 h imbibition embryo, with histidine, taurine, ornithine content, and positively correlated with methionine and glutamine.4.Effect of exogenous amino acids on seed vigorThe seed vigor was determined by elongation radicle counting method. With the increase of lysine concentration,Zheng 58 66 h elongation radicle number first significantly increased and then decreased significantly. With the increase of methionine concentration, there was no significant change in the number of elongated radicles in Chang7-2 66 h.
