Effect Of "Huhezi" Granule On Growth Of Broilers And Its Evaluation Of The Safety Of Target Animals

"Huhezi" granule was screened by in vitro bacteriostasis test and combined bacteriostasis test,and it was made up of Polygonum cuspidatum,Terminalia chebula and Viola philippica.Through the study on the extraction technology of the effective ingredients of Chinese traditional medicine,the preparation technology of the best granule and the quality control,and according to the veterinary drug research technical guidelines,the "Huhezi" granule which meets the standards and have antimicrobial effect on Salmonella pullorum were finally obtained.In this study,the “Huhezi” granule was used as a kind of anti-disease and nutritional Chinese herbal feed additive to study its effects on broilers' growth performance,immune function,antioxidant activity and the safety of target animals.The main research contents and results are as follows:1 Effect of “Huhezi” granule on growth performance of broilers1-day-old broilers were grouped after basic feeding for one week,the 0.5%?1%?2% “Huhezi” granule was added to the basal diet for four weeks,and the average daily gain,average daily feed intake,and feed-to-weight ratio of each group were calculated and compared every other week.The results showed that,compared with the blank group,the average daily gain of the “Huhezi” middle dose group increased significantly(P < 0.01),and was almost the same as that of the astragalus polysaccharide positive control group.In the 22-35 days of age,the average daily feed intake in the middle dose group was significantly lower than that in the blank group(P < 0.01),and the feed-Weight ratio was 10% lower than that in the blank group.2 Effect of “Huhezi” granule on immune function of broilersEvery other week and for four consecutive weeks,the index of immune organs was recorded,the content of T lymphocyte subsets in blood was detected by flow cytometry,and the levels of Interleukins and others in broilers serum were detected by ELISA.The results showed that the immune organ index of each granule group was higher than that of the blank group.At the same time,the granule can significantly increase the content of CD3+,CD4+,CD8+ in the serum of broilers.And the serum Ig A,Ig M,Ig G antibody levels and the concentrations of IL-2,IL-4,IL-6,IFN-? and TNF-? were significantly increased.3 Effect of “Huhezi” granule on antioxidant capacity of broilersEvery other week and for four consecutive weeks,the activities of total superoxide dismutase(T-SOD),catalase(CAT),glutathione peroxidase(GSH-Px),total antioxidant capacity(T-AOC)and total superoxide dismutase(T-SOD),malonaldehyde(MDA)content in serum were measured at different time points.The results showed that,compared with the blank control group,“Huhezi” granule could enhance the activities of T-SOD,CAT and GSH-Px antioxidant enzymes in serum,increase the content of T-AOC,and decrease the content of MDA.4 Safety evaluation of "Huhezi" granule on target animalsFor the evaluation of the safety of “Huhezi” granule on the target animals,the clinical signs of the test period were observed,the hematology and blood biochemistry indicators of the broilers were examined,and the pathological sections of various tissues and organs were examined.The results showed that within 3% additive range,“Huhezi” granule had no significant effect on the safety of broilers.In summary,the addition of “Huhezi” granule to broiler basal diets can promote the growth and development of broilers,improve the immune function and antioxidant capacity of broilers,and the amount of additives is within 3%.The clinical medication is safe and reliable.
