This paper combines industry agglomeration theory and spatial econometric method in economic geography field to analysis the relationship of forestry foreign investment and regional agglomeration.By the means of spatial analysis we can correct the estimation bias due to endogeneity problem in traditional panel model.Main conclusions are as follows:(1)Chinese forestry industry is facing the transition of former single-core pattern agglomeration with the province of "Fujian&Zhejiang" as its industry core area to the current double-core pattern with "Fujian,Guangdong&Guangxi" and"Shandong" as forestry industry core area.(2)forestry foreign investment has significant promotion effect on regional forestry agglomeration and the spatial spill-over effect is not significant.(3)while domestic investment also has significant agglomeration effect,it tend to be overestimated in traditional panel model, such overestimation comes from two ways:fist the direct effect estimator is overvalued and second domestic investment’s negative spatial spill-over effect is neglected. |
