Nitrogen have great effects on enhancing yield, improving fruit quality of tomato,High nitrogen has a negative impact on tomato yield.Soil conditioners improved the ability of soil fertility maintenance, and soil conditioners had improved yield and quality of vegetable, especially in quality of tomato. With tomato cultivar “nong yuan yi hao” as research object,it adopted potted plants and two factors of soil conditioner and nitrogen, which including three soil conditioner content levels(A1:0 g/basin,A2:18g/basin,A3:30 g/basin)and three nitrogen content levels(B1:0.3 g/basin,B2:0.6 g/basin,B3:0.9g/basin),and the effects of different combinations of soil conditioner content and nitrogen content were investigated on growth, photosynthetic characteristics, yield and quality. The results are as follows:1.Effect of interaction between soil conditioner and nitrogen on the growth and physiological indicatorsWith the growthing of tomato, growth and physiological indicators except first flower node gradually increased. When the soil conditioner was at certain level, the plant height, stem diameter, leaf area index, flower number, root activity, chlorophyll content, net photosynthetic rate all increased with increase of nitrogen. When nitrogen was at certain extent, the plant height, stem diameter, leaf area index, flower number, root activity, chlorophyll content, net photosynthetic rate all increased, that was, when the soil conditioner was A1 and A2,all traits declined when the soil conditioner was A3.First flower node showed opposite trend.2.Effect of interaction between soil conditioner and nitrogen on the yield and qualityWhen the soil conditioner was at certain level, fruit number, fruit weight, fruit diameter, fruit longitudinal diameter, soluble sugar content,sugar/acid ratio, soluble protein content, soluble solid content, vitamin C content, nitrate content all increased with increase of nitrogen, organic acid content with increase of nitrogen. When nitrogen was at certain extent, fruit number, fruit weight, fruit diameter, fruit longitudinal diameter, soluble sugar content,sugar/acid ratio, soluble protein content, soluble solid content, vitamin Ccontent all, that was increased, declined, when the soil conditioner was A1 and A2,all traits declined except organic acid content and nitrate content when the soil conditioner was A3.The results shows that under low soil conditioner content(under A1 and A2 conditions),applying nitrogen is beneficial to tomato growth and its quality, when soil conditioner content is higher(under A3conditions),applying nitrogen fertilizer will affect tomato growth and quality formation.Overall, our results reveal that application of the soil conditioner content(18 g/basin)With 0.9g/basin nitrogen content was the optimum cultivation practice in tomato, due to the best yield and quality.
