Study On The Development Of Forestry In The Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningsia Border Area During The War Of Resistance

During the period of the War of Resistance Against Japan,the Shaanxi-GansuNingbian regional government must not only endure the economic blockade of the Kuomintang,but also solve the most basic problems of food and clothing for the military and civilian population in the border areas.The situation was once difficult.The ShaanxiGansu-Ningxia Border Region was the seat of the CPC Central Committee and the political guidance center of the Anti-Japanese War at that time.Therefore,it is very urgent and necessary to solve the difficulties facing the border areas.In the search for solutions to the difficulties,the Border Region government gradually realized the importance of developing forestry in the border areas.Through investigation,the Border Region government learned that the forest resources in the border areas were relatively abundant,and the number of forest lands that can be reclaimed were relatively large.The difficulties faced with the border government can be solved successfully and effectively in a short period if utilize these resources wisely.During the process of development,the government also realized the importance of forestry protection.While developing these resources,corresponding protection measures were taken to create a sustainable development foundation for the ecological environment in the border area.This paper mainly introduces the origins of forestry development in the ShaanxiGansu-Ningxia Border Region,analyzes the inevitability of forestry development in the border areas,discusses the development and use of plant and forest resources in border areas,some problems in the development of forestry in border areas were also discussed.According to the existing problems,some measures were taken which mainly include carrying out afforestation,establishing regulations and decrees,and building waterconservancy projects.Finally,this paper summarizes the successful experience of forestry development and forestry protection in the border areas.Through the study of forestry development and forestry protection in the ShaanxiGansu-Ningxia Border Region,the original features of the development of forestry in the Border Region during the Anti-Japanese War period were restored.At the same time,historical experience about forestry develop and protection were summarized which can helped us to construct current ecological environment better,and provide historical basis for the overall construction of the country's forestry.
