This paper selected 192 F6 generation group of high and low carotenoids combination "Meng 0308 / Wankang 18" as the experimental material,determinated the content of carotenoids and used the quantitative character of main-polygene mixed genetic model to analysis of genetic parameters.242 wheat varieties were selected as materials to test the carotenoid content,lipoxygenase activity,whiteness,yellowness and some other quality traits of whole-mill in wheat.The cluster analysis were used for the 4 quality traits above.The regional differences were compared to carotenoid contents of wheat varieties from different originated areas.The result showed that:1.The carotenoid content of the hybrid combination F6 generation group of "Meng 0308 / Wankang 18" are controlled by 2 pairs of inhibition effect major genes and additive polygenes.The additive effect value of major genes and polygenes was 0.4366 and 1.3368,The additive effect value of major genes is bigger than polygenes,The results showed that the additive effect of the polygenes had a great effect on improving the content of carotenoids of whole-mill in wheat.The heritability of the major gene was 43.7%,and the heritability of the polygenes was 55.52%.2.The results showed that the variance were highly significant difference in carotenoids content,lipoxygenase activity,whiteness and yellowness among varieties,indicated that the gene had a great effect on the quality traits of wheat.The carotenoids content was highly significant and positively correlated with yellowness,and negatively correlated with lipoxygenase activity,whiteness and brightness in high significance.3.The content of carotenoids in 242 wheat varieties was determined,This study attempts to 3% of proportion to screen varieties of high and low carotenoids content for germplasm resources,obtain high carotenoids content resources for 11 varieties,includes jining12,xumai29,shan354,yumai70-36,nongda186,yuzhan9804,luo9908,luomai9,jing08CA95,huapei212 and shanyou225;8 low carotenoids content varieties,includes annong95083-6-1,lunxuan22,sumai3,xinong979,yangmai16,wanmai35,yangfumai5242,fanmai8.The carotenoids content,lipoxygenase activity,whiteness and yellowness of 242wheat varieties were analysed by cluster can be divided into 4 categories.The results showed that the varieties with high carotenoids content and yellowness with low lipoxygenase activity and whiteness in a class,the varieties with low carotenoids content and yellowness with high lipoxygenase activity and whiteness in a class,This further proves the results of the correlation analysis in this paper.4.The carotenoids content was significantly different among different provinces in wheat.The order of average of carotenoids content from Shandong,Henan and northern regions in wheat was: Beijing> Shaanxi> Hebei> Henan> Shandong;and the order of average of carotenoids content from Jiangsu,Anhui and southern regions in wheat was:Anhui> Jiangsu.
