Building facade language can be divided into two types from the perspective of resistance and utilization of natural forces.One is mechanical properties,such as the dimensions of building beams,slabs and columns,the depth of eaves,the size of window lintels,etc.;the other is climate performance,which is divided into two parts: thermal performance and weatherability performance.The thermal performance of building includes wall thickness,wall material,hole dimension,etc.The weatherability performance of building includes roof construction,wall construction,portal construction,etc.As one of the components of the weatherability construction of the building envelope,the seam construction is often ignored because of its lack of importance on the surface,but it has a huge impact on the building.On the one hand,it can meet the functional requirements of the building envelopes,on the other hand,it plays an important role in improving the quality of the building.From the point of view of seam design,this paper expounds the relationship between weatherability construction of building envelopes and architectural design expression.And uses two-dimensional drawings and three-dimensional model of BIM as the expression carrier.The first chapter of this paper is the introduction.Firstly,it introduces the research background,research content and significance,related content concept definition,research methods and research framework.The second chapter is the core part of this paper,which includes thermal expansion and cold shrinkage,anti drainage,specification limitation,plate strength,error adjustment and appearance quality.Through the above six aspects to elaborate how the seam construction as a part of the weatherability construction of the building envelopes affects the architectural design.The third chapter is the conclusion part,which summarizes the whole paper and points out the shortcomings of the research and the prospect of seam construction.Finally,the last part is the design result of this paper--BIM family library and the seam design drawings based on the weatherability construction of building envelopes.The whole thesis contains about 27 000 words,121 pictures and charts.
