Space Research Of Shenyang Temples Garden Based On Space Syntax

Shenyang is a famous cultural city with a long history.It is the birthplace of the Qing dynasty and is known as “The Birthplace of one dynasty and the Capital of two Emperors”.Temple garden is one of the three classical garden types in China,which embodies the strong religious culture and brilliant garden art in China.The number of monasteries and gardens in Shenyang is one of the largest cities,which not only enriches the image of the city,but also continues the cultural context of the historical urban architectural heritage.The development of temple gardens has a long history.Previous studies on the spatial environment of monasteries and gardens focused on qualitative description,but lacked quantitative analysis data.With the development of science and technology,the emergence of space syntax theory has been gradually applied to various professional disciplines.There are also many cases on the application of Chinese classical garden space.In this paper,five representative monasteries and gardens in Shenyang are taken as the research objects,and the spatial structure of monasteries and gardens is taken as the entry point.The spatial structure of monasteries and gardens is analyzed qualistically and quantitatively,and the space syntax VGA analysis is used as the theoretical basis to conduct a quantitative research on the space of traditional gardens in the north.It scientifically and effectively summarizes the deep structural characteristics of the space of the temple garden.It is not only enlightening to the rules of space construction of traditional gardens in the north,but also of great significance to the inheritance and development of traditional garden culture in Shenyang.Qualitative analysis: firstly,through literature research,field survey and computer software to draw a plane model of the current situation,this paper summarizes the overall spatial environment of the five selected typical temple gardens in Shenyang,including the history and culture,the layout of temple gardens,the spatial landscape nodes and the spatial sequence for qualitative analysis.The spatial structure characteristics of monasteries in north China are summarized.Quantitative analysis: by introducing the theory of quantitative analysis of space syntax and related software,VGA Quantitative Analysis is conducted on the feasible and visual layers of monasteries and temples studied.The connection value,control value,average depth value and line of sight concentration coefficient are analyzed,and the quantitative analysis results of 5 monasteries are compared horizontally.This paper studies the deep regularity of Shenyang temple garden and looks for a kind of logic and order hidden behind the garden space.Analysis on the behavior pattern of the garden: field research is conducted on the Shisheng temple and the north pagoda Falun temple,and key spatial nodes are selected to conduct statistics on the flow of people,observe and record the behavior pattern of visitors.The quantitative analysis results of space syntax are compared with the results of field investigation to summarize the deep characteristics of the spatial structure of monasteries and gardens.
