With the continuous progress of social civilization, material life is becoming more and more abundant.People's demand for office space is no longer merely satisfied with the basic needs of using functions, and they have gradually begun to face their own emotional needs. The idea of emotional design comes from the book “Design Psychology 3: Emotional Design” by cognitive psychologist(US)Donald A.Norman.The author proposes three levels of design under the influence of emotion: Instinct, behavior, reflection. The author thinks that people's intuitive feeling(instinct),functional experience(behavior),reflective memory(reflection)are three important factors that can affect the design. At the same time, the three different levels of instinct, behavior, and reflection are intertwined. No design can be completely independent of these three levels.Under the combined effect of these three levels of design and behavioral cognition, design ability is called complete.Whether a design is successful or not,the emotional elements of design may be more critical than the practical elements.Social development so far, work has become an important part of people's social life,white-collar workers need to spend a third of the time in the office space. In a long time. The focus of office space design was placed on the office function of space, and the office was also paraphrased as a "white-collar factory." Such a space often lacks human touch. The concept of emotional design has been used as the theoretical basis of industrial design in the past, taking into account the commonality between the design, that this theory still has guiding significance in the design of office space. This paper uses emotional design theory in combination with Maslow's human needs theory to proceed from the two major elements of human physiological needs and psychological dynamics.Respectively from the instinctive design, behavior design, reflection design office space research.
