Along with the overall opening of the domestic two-child policy,the choice and demand of preschool education and educational places attracts more and more people's attention.There is a wide range of kindergartens across our country,and the level of those kindergartens vary greatly from different education models.Due to the particularity of pre-school children's physical,mental development and behavior development,it is bound to lead to the unique design of kindergartens.“What kind of kindergarten is a good kindergarten?” It has become a question which worthy of people's thinking and exploration.Kindergartens are the earliest public space for children to receive education.Their role in children's psychological and physiology development can not be ignored.Early childhood education should take children as the main body,it should respect the needs of children's development,respect and protect the children's curiosity and interest in learning.And regional activities are the most form of education that can best reflect the children's autonomous learning.They plays a crucial role in promoting the children's all-round development.However,found in the research,the planning and design of space environment in domestic kindergartens for children's regional activities is uneven and the development is slow.In this thesis,I refer to the space for conducting regional activities as“learning space”.Since the previous study of kindergarten only focused on the whole space of kindergarten or the life-based activity room(the classroom).There is little amount of space design for the regional activities of young children,So I decided to conduct an in-depth study of this type of space planning and design.This thesis through the children's behavior and though the observation,records,photography and other survey methods of kindergarten space,I have understood the children's physical,behavioral psychological characteristics and learning needs.This thesis compares the design method of kindergarten “learning space” at home and abroad,drawing on and integrating with the world's best kindergarten design concepts and educational perspectives.The exploration and the research of characteristics of children's behavioralpsychology and kindergarten “learning space” design,summed up the interaction and influence between the two.Based on the practice of indigenous design in our country,this thesis puts forward a “child-oriented” and 6 “rules” and 3 “freedom” learning space design methods,which bring more convenient and enjoyable learning experience for children.
