With the continuous development of augmented reality technology,augmented reality technology is widely used in the field of aircraft and automobile assisted driving.In recent years,ships have developed in the direction of intelligence,and technical support for intelligent assisted driving is required in the field of ship navigation.Look-out is an important work of ship navigation,which is important to ensure the safe navigation of ships.How to enhance the driver's situational awareness through augmented reality technology.This paper proposes an auxiliary system for ship look-out based on augmented reality technology.Through the analysis of the theoretical feasibility of the application of augmented reality technology in ship look-out assistance,an augmented reality assisted look-out model is established,which is verified with the aid of AR smart glasses.It fulfills main research works is as follows:(1)Designing the display interface of the ship look-out auxiliary system,by referring to the application of augmented reality technology in aircraft and cars.Analyzing the display parameters of the system in combination with expert survey methods and ship equipment to determine the display parameters of the ship look-out auxiliary system.(2)Analyzing the theoretical feasibility of augmented reality technology in ship look-out assistance by establishing the auxiliary system for ship look-out system model based on ARHUD and the auxiliary system for ship look-out system model based on AR smart glasses.In the AR-HUD system model,the geometric relationship between the driver,the target ship and the HUD windshield is analyzed,with emphasis on the augmented information registration algorithm and the introduction of related coordinate transformation.In the auxiliary system for ship look-out system model of AR smart glasses,a target recognition algorithm is proposed,and the registration of the virtual information of the target ship is analyzed.(3)AIS decoding of original packaged messages and the screening of AIS data.The AIS original packaged messages of the surrounding ships are obtained through the AIS receiver,and combined with the AIS decoding algorithm,the AIS message analysis is completed.According to the needs of the system,the target ship parameters required by the system are extracted from the decoded AIS data.(4)Experimental design of target recognition algorithm in the surrounding buildings and ship look-out.By parsing the original AIS message,obtaining the AIS data of other ships,using AR smart glasses,applying the target recognition algorithm to the crew on duty lookout,and obtaining the information of the surrounding ships in real time.The registration of the target ship and the virtual information of the target ship is achieved by setting a reasonable azimuth error threshold.The feasibility of augmented reality technology in ship look-out assistance is verified.
