In the field of intelligent ships and ship intelligent navigation,camera-based visual perception technology has become a key direction of intelligent perception of ship navigation environment.The use of cameras to supplement the actual navigation environment with virtual information through computer vision and augmented reality technology is of great significance for improving the understanding of the navigation environment of the ship’s pilots and enhancing the safety of the navigation of the ship.Based on this background,this article uses computer vision to research ship augmented reality navigation technology.The main research work completed in this paper is as follows:(1)The overall design of the ship’s augmented reality navigation system.An augmented reality navigation system architecture with separated front and rear ends is proposed,and the core functions and key technologies of the ship’s augmented reality navigation system are introduced with emphasis.(2)Aiming at the problem of small target detection such as ships and navigation aids in the navigation environment,based on YOLOv3,three aspects of data enhancement,contour enhancement and anchor frame clustering are improved,and a small target detection model is proposed.Experiments show that the model has an average detection accuracy of 0.941 for small target images of ships,and an average detection accuracy of 0.892 for small target images of navigation marks.(3)Aiming at the problem of matching the target information of the navigation environment and the visual inspection results.Based on the electronic chart and navigation environment information database,the method of obtaining the target information data around the ship is studied;and based on the visual target detection result,the matching method of the navigation mark target and the static data of the navigation mark and the matching method of the ship target and the ship AIS data are proposed.Augmented reality information overlay provides support.(4)Based on the visual target detection result and its matching method with the target information of the navigation environment,the ship augmented reality navigation system is developed.The system adopts the design of information layered superposition,superimpose the detailed information of the ship and the navigation mark on the target object captured in the ship’s navigation video,supplemented by the ship’s own information,to achieve the purpose of augmented reality navigation.In this paper,ship targets and navigation aids in the navigation environment are used as the main carrier of augmented reality information superposition,and the visual inspection technology of ships and navigation aids,the matching method of camera vision targets and target information in the navigation environment information database,as well as navigation aids and ships are systematically studied.The augmented reality display technology of information is a useful exploration of the fusion and application of deep learning and augmented reality technology in ship navigation systems.It has not only theoretical significance but also good application value.
